Rather call Jones the most athletic and physically gifted boxer, but I guess you can say his overall game was so well rounded because of that?

Mayweather is up there in terms of all around skill today. At 130, Mayweather was also a heavy hitter with ko power. Mayweather at 130 was a beast.

i always tell ppl hes the best fighter ive ever seen fight in my lifetime. that remains true. the most amazing fighter ive ever seen is roy jones. but as far as application to what boxing is all about, and if someone asked me whos the closest to perfection in the ring, id go with floyd. IMO.

No. b.c Jones relied on athleticism not boxing fundamentals

no. hernandez, chavez, corrales were all corner stoppages. i don't consider that ko power at all. he ko'd a bunch of bums early in his career but everyone does that cause those guys come to lay down. he always wore guys down with accurate punches but if he had real ko power he would have been able to score legit knockouts with all the punches he landed on those guys. their corners had to save their guys because his punches weren't powerful enough to do the job themselves.

I haven't seen every single fighter in the history of the sport. But yes, the most well rounded fighter I have seen in my lifetime. Definitely. I think I would put Bernard Hopkins right after him. Like I said, in my lifetime, I don't know about no other era, but from what I have seen from Ali, he's pretty agile and versatile for a HW.

Good choice, always flies by me because of how light he was unfortunately.
