Are you ******? The dispute between me and you has nothing to do with what we feel a complete boxer is. When I saw this thread the boxer than came to mind was Sugar Ray Leonard, at 140lb I'd say Floyd was complete at the higher weight classes his ring generalship, defense and efficiency compensates for his lack of his activity.

My disagreement with you is in relation to you saying things that make you look like a complete bell end.

There is no reason why Mayweather wouldnt thrive under the old rules. For one he would benefit from 15-20 round fights due to his conditioning and his economic style. Second he only weighs in a few pounds more the next day so same day weigh ins are no big deal. His skill and natural athleticism would make him one of the top fighters in any era. Its great that there were many more fighters in NY in the 1920s but how many of those guys had a day job and boxed at night? The vast majority of them.
Floyd would be a top fighter in any era IMO.

He'd most likely have a lower KO percentage (less time to rest his injury-prone hands) and some Ls on his ledger, but he has the skills, athleticism, and work ethic to be a top guy.

evidently i'm an idiot, according to your red karma message.

go finish up your dissertation, get loaded, and pick up girls
just finish that thing up. they're easy like that.
          pretty likely story, kid.

i'm sure that's exactly what you're up to tonight, and it makes a hell of a lot more sense than arguing with me, considering you arent actually doing much other than insult me

again, you seem to be most put off by my stating that floyd couldnt stop marquez, correct?

meaning that he's not a finisher, certainly not to the level of being considered a well rounded boxer in a historical sense

          he's a pure boxer.

that's what i said, and none of it makes me look like an idiot.

if you cant deal with basic rhetoric you have no business "finishing up your dissertation tonight before drinks"

getting chippy and personal with you might make me look like an idiot, but i'm willing to take a hit in that sense when the right situation comes around.

and I'd say Julio Cesar Chavez was more well rounded.

Incredible offense both upstairs and to the body
              Real power.

IMO not comparing legacy or greatness.. Ricardo Lopez was more skilled.
Although he did suffer from somewhat of a poor division.

then again i'm biased due to Finito being 1 of my all time favorite fighters.

i dunno man... lopez never really ventured out from his comfort zone ( his weight class...) to really test his skills against the bigger and/or stronger guys...

i was wondering what would a prime lopez do against a prime ivan calderon?

                      that would be awesome...
