Bojangles the fight is 2001 for god sakes at a much lower weight, against a late substitute. please lets stay in context.

Bojangles the discussion isn't about the 112 pac, its about the pac 135 and up. Can't we just stay in context. I am not trying to change manny's career nor make him anything else but a 1st ballot HOF'er.

this is your problem. you AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME that anyone who's a fan of manny hates on floyd.

i don't hate floyd. he's an ******, sure but he's an extremely talented ******. (one of the best in the planet)

i dislike his attitude, but i respect his skill. there's a reason why even Freddie Roach is very respectful whenever he discusses floyd's skill in the ring and that floyd is the real deal.

stop hating man. its warping your thinking. (heck, i didn't even mention floyd in my post and you automatically turn it into another manny/floyd rant.)

People made Pac out to be this super great fighter beating big guys up dominately but a guy he has fought numerous times and should know by now especially Freddie Roach. Gave Pac all he could handle at a weight class that Mayweather made JMM look like he didn't belong in.

That version of JMM would give Manny a tough fight as well because it ain't about nothing but styles. Pac hasn't improved and hasn't been taught how to adapt to fighters who are technical and box. His trainer is to blame for that. Sergio Martinez should focus on his division(s) and score some fantastic wins. Forget Pac and them other guys because no one will fight him. 168 might be too much for Sergio like 154 was too much for Pac and that's why he had to grab his title at 150. Martinez moved up from JMW to MDW and beat the division champion, smashed Paul William and served Sergei. Dude is the truth.
I disagree, Pac has made notable improvements, JMM and Nacho even admitted that. The problem is he reverted to his old habits against JMM, he wasn't patient. Footwork wise JMM was in better control but Pac had his moments where he maintained better positioning, especially in the middle rounds when he actually started moving away from JMM's right hand, just very inconsistent because of his patience IMO.

THAT WAS MY ENTIRE FREAKING POINT!!!

You're the one that said Pacquiao's never had a dominant win over a boxer who moves, when he has in fact destroyed boxers who move. My point is that he has regressed against that style, which you said he hasn't. Does that guy look like he cares at all that his opponent is moving and boxing?

martinez is on a roll and should focus on more viable opponents. its not very likely that he's gonna get to fight either manny or floyd and his fixation on them would only be detrimental to his career in the long run.

I don't care for Floyd outside of the ring... you have been misinformed.

The fact remains that Floyd was bashed for the same thing you credit Pac. My post did not consist of hate but more of a valid point of the "double standards" that many people tend to have.

Here's the deal, Bojangles showed a good display of an underdeveloped Pac doing well against a decent boxer. These days we only have examples of him fighting a great boxer in JMM. You get Pac in a ring with a boxer not named Marquez or Mayweather, I bet you he'd do pretty damn well. Maybe not his crazy dominating like he does against swarmers/punchers, but it takes a top tier boxer to really give him trouble.
