I've said this before. Bute doesn't deserve to fight the SS winner. He needs to fight Cloud at a catchweight or maybe pavlik.
if Bute doesn't deserve it, who does ?

    Anthony Dirrell (LMAO) ?

let's face it, Bute is the best and most legit opponent for Ward

      Dirrel's his mandatory.

I just don't like how Bute stood in the crowd while the race was happening and is now trying to hop out the crowd and trip the winner at the finish line to take his glory. I don't like that. That's just my opinion.

I hate to say this. But to me, there are a difference between top fighters in a division and good fighters. And outside of Ward, I don't really view any of these fighters as anything special. I think if Bute was in Ward's place he would've beaten all those guys. And I don't even like Bute all that much. But view Ward as the one being in the wrong here by acting like he might brush this fight off and duck it. Isn't this what we ripped Timothy Bradley for regarding Khan?

Bute deserves it. It's the least Ward can do since Bute didn't get invited to compete in the tourney, and instead middleweights were invited to join because of their citizenship. It was crap.

Once again, "at the time" those middleweights had more clout then Bute.

It's very easy to wait until the tourny is over and say what should've happened 2 years ago. But the fact is, the original fighters, maybe exept Taylor, had every right to be in the tourny over Bute.

Ward is one hundred percent right. Still though thats the most important fight that could be made at 168 right now. Hopefully Bute will have to go through Froch or Kessler first before he is given that shot at Ward. I think both of those fights would be toss ups.

I'm glad Ward said this. Everyone assumes Bute gets a crack at the Super Six winner but he hasn't earned the right. He's stayed at home fighting weak opposition and offered joke money to anyone decent (Pavlik, Kessler) ...he wont even fight his 'hometown' rival, Pascal.

Personally I think Ward would beat Bute and Froch would be a real tough fight for Bute but I don't necessarily agree Bute is fighting B&C level opponents. A few facts below:
-Bute beat Sakio Bika in 12 and Bika went 12 hard rounds with the great Joe Calzaghe and Ward as well.
-Bute destroyed Edison Miranda in 3 rounds and Miranda almost destroyed Abraham when they went 12 rounds, and he broke his jaw. Miranda also went 12 rounds with Ward too.
-Bute beat Glen Johnson more one-sided than anyone else has, including Froch.
-Bute destroyed Fulgencio Zuniga in 4 rounds and Zuniga went 12 with the ferocious LHW Tavoris Cloud.
-Bute had trouble with Librado Andrade in the 1st fight sure but then demolished him in 4 rounds in the 2nd match. Andrade went 12 rounds with Kessler too.
This is not about triangle theories or anything, this is just proving that I do not exactly agree that Bute has been fighting B&C level fighters. I think Bute would easily have beaten Taylor, Green, Abraham as well. Ward and Froch would be big challenges and could give Bute hell but I think Bute is definitely in the same class as Ward and Froch, even though me may lose to either. The one thing Bute has that Froch and Ward do not...is real bone cracking power. He has one punch KO power, something that Froch thinks he has, but does not. Froch is tough and can hurt you over the course of a fight but Bute has fight changing, one-shot power. That left hand of his can be a thunderbolt.

What had Dirrell done to be in the tournament? Dude had like 16 fights. Taylor had been KTFO twice in his last 3 fights, and was 0-2 at 168. Bute should have been in the tournament. Abraham? lmfaaoooooo
