By the way POP she won her case against the former fighter's family, not the fighter himself.
She didn't win it as much as they lost it. They had no evidence, and even if the mysterious will had been produced, and she had no will herself, they wouldn't have got the money. On marriage, all former wills are void, and without a new will the laws of intestacy are used. In Candada (and most other civilized countries I think) the widow gets a third and the children, no matter how many, share the other 2 thirds.

Even if she's been proven guilty in a Canadian court of murder (a HUGE if) and was not allowed to profit from her crime, the assets would devolve on the next of kin, their child. The family never had any hope of getting a cent, except perhaps if the court gave them trusteeship over the child until the age of majority when they would probably be allowed an amount for their trouble. But, more likely the court would appoint a suitable trustee outside that family, which showed itself in a very bad light. I think their lawyer saw they were supid and greedy, and just took their money. He must have known they had no case.

    Anyway, none of this matters.

So it's okay to make disparaging comments and accuse someone you've never met and know nothing about of being a thieving, money grubbing, cold blooded murdered without any evidence, like 90% of the posters in these Gatti threads? as long as they're not a boxer you're a fan of, it's okay right?

          Noted.

Even the top experts that the family hired to find another possible reason for his death outside of suicide came up empty handed. I think the judge, Brazilian authorities, and American investigators got it right. It's not what people wanted to hear, but I think they got it right.
Well, your comments threw me back a bit...... mostly because the story about the suicide didnt really sound right, and most posters tend to think that his wife is nothing but a gold-digger who may have set him up.

I honestly dont know what to believe happened in this bizarre incident.

I truly hope you are right, because Arturo's kids will sleep better, and I hate to think that she had anything to do with the champ's passing.

I dont know what to think man, but I appreciate your point of view, and hope you are right.

I wouldn't say I totally feel strongly and I'm sure he committed suicide, it just seems more likely than murder.

It's ridiculous how for so long, people have ******ly tried to play armchair psycholgist "oh Gatti had so much heart in the ring so he would never kill himself". As if everyday life is the same as an athletic competition that lasts less than an hour. Gatti's own brother believes Arturo killed himself, but no, watching someone on TV (who you've never met before) means you really know his mindset and if he was able to kill himself.

Amanda actually may have been a money-grubbing slut, but there are many money-grubbing sluts out there, and most of them are not murderers.
Some greats points right there, good post man.

I feel like I'm one of the few people that watched the 48 hours special on this case. The family basically tried to get her convicted of murder after she refused to split the inheritance with them. There was no actual evidence linking her to the crime, and even Gatti's own brother said he believed it was suicide. The worst information that they were able to dig up on her was that she may have stripped at some point.
