Floyd should retire, you look at his record it looks like he calculated ever opponet to fight at the right time. His's career seems to be one of the most over rated in boxing today.
Mayweather didn't ask Marquez for the fight and Mayweather has already moved up in weight five times. There is only so much you can move up.

Lol and Floyd didn't weight 154 dude...more like 151!! And Oscar had way more to offer Floyd....don't get me wrong, I wanna see that fight but don't make it seem like u don't see why it wouldn't happen. His last fight he weighed 146...he's not a big WW.

dont see the problem...duran moved up from lightweight, m. taylor moved down, leonard moved up etc etc....and he's already fought at the weight class.

kinda seems like people are just making excuses for the guy.

and honestly its the only fight to see, since floyd UD's pacman easily.

Martinez is a middleweight while Floyd is a natural welter so obviously Sergio will have the advantage if they fight, even if there's a catch weight involved. I don't think it's likely that Floyd will fight someone he knows will have an advantage over him. Martinez should be realistic and just try to clean all the belts at 160, starting with Chavez Jr.

Any time I see an article about Martinez wanting to fight Floyd I'll see numerous people call him out by saying he is too big for Floyd.

It's a fact. Martinez is too big for Floyd because he currently fights at the Middleweight division as opposed to the Welterweight division, of which Floyd Mayweather Jr. is currently campaigning at. However, If Martinez is truly serious in wanting to challenge Mayweather or even Manny Pacquiao for that matter, then he should consider coming down in weight to challenge them both at the 147 lbs weight limit with no catch weight; Since he claims fighting at the higher weight classes of 168 or greater is asking too much of him and would put him at a great disadvantage with the larger opponents. However, what is so ironic, is that it would be a lot easier for him to move up in weight to challenge guys who are little stronger and closer to his own size? Since he would have the speed advantage over them as opposed to starching himself, in order to cut weight, just so he can challenge naturally smaller and weaker opponents than himself. Besides he is a lot closer to the 168 lbs division than he is to a 150 lbs anyway.
