being to big affects speed and power bro! Look at Wlad He falls into his punches. He has better snap in his shots then his brother, but his bro is way more rugged and focused than he is.

Also how padded where those gloves back in the day to right now. They where fighting with bricks while these guys have massively padded gloves! lol That creates bad habits all on it's own. you can take a hard shot if the padding was right no padding not so much! old school those guys where on their game. Cory sanders gave Vitali fits too all he did was throw straights and Vlad was almost out on his feet!

Back then no. Today, maybe. However Louis has seen skills far superior to that of Vitali and although Vitali has skills, it would not be enough for the size difference to really matter much.

Conney had reach and far superior mobility and hand speed that Vitali could only dream of! eventually him going into the late rounds it's over if he's not caught early! This is a terrible terrible post i think it only shows how little people actually know about boxing....
i don't even know what you're trying to say anymore. . . it looked to me like vitali was taking advantage of lewis just as much as lewis was taking advantage of him. . . lewis is probably one of the only fighters in the history of the sport, along with ali, holmes, and maybe sonny liston because of his reach that i would slightly favor over vitali. . . and they would all still be damn close fights. . .

obviously we aren't going to agree on much; so ill just say that i "agree to disagree" with your analysis of fighters, and application thereof, when matching fighters against each other.

i would have loved to see a rematch. . . but lewis hits ten times harder than joe louis. . . and has about ten inches of reach, and 6 inches of height on him. . .

Nope. Louis arguably hits harder than Lennox and he was certainly the better puncher overall.

COLOR?! so now im a racist. . . LOL! ok. . . im done with you. . . it's easy to tell you just want to sound like you're "in the know" by saying the klitschko's would be journeyman contenders in past fistic eras. . . I can tell you don't know what you're talking about.
i'll back of the colour thing that's my bad. I've been in some other arguments with dudes on this board who defend The Klits and then it came down to the colour thing. my bad i generalized. But did you note i said Lennox also?

And i am in the know bro, I've been watching boxing forever and have recently started going back to watch ol school fights there is allot missing in allot of fighters game today. SRL was good but not great bro he would kill allot of peps today but could get killed agaist some guys back in the day! he threw waaaaay to many punches which are shoe shine punches, they look flashy but do no damage. There are guys who threw shots that mattered everytime they threw a punch. Guys that fight like that now are Dmitry Pirog! THAT DUDE WOULD RAIN TERROR ON GUYS IF THEY DIDN"T BACK OUT OF FIGHTS WITH 'EM! no one what's him you know why, because he's the truth!

You cannot compare Adamak and Arreola to Joe Louis smh.... that's just blasphemous!

Do you know who Jerry Cooney is? He what this generation of fighters today would do back in the day. Cooney was a beast didn't have the right hand but had a jab and an amazing left hook! cooney is he was in his prime today would KILL he would unify the belts for sure!

cut's are a part of boxing, so are the padded gloves for today boxing! He was getting reemed with padded gloves! as i said back in the day they didn't use that stuff. the training wheels where off! Today to show fights they can't have that on tv. it would look like MMA in boxing! Vlad that fact he drops his right hand throwing a jab is terrible! that is a boxing 101 you don't do back in the day!

Naw man JOE LANDED ACCURATE POWER. Power that i haven't seen since recently. Also you can slip inside reach if your light and fast enough, joe was these and he kept his ballance! These heavyweights now are all TOO big and TOO slow! Joe Sets his shots up with his legs it's too late when he landed because he could load up with a hook or an uppercut after! Vitali had toughness for sure, but a tough guy vs a skilled boxer is a terrible match up! fun to watch but when it's over one guys career is mad short after!

vitali would look slow against louis... its an interesting matchup but really why do so many posters on here feel vitali is some speed freak? louis is a better rounded fighter for his size and has better reflexes than vitali hands down. I would like to see vitalis heart tested for 10, 13 or hell even 15 rds. Vitali uses his size well but his opposition is far from stellar.

no lol! all i'm saying is start watching some documentaries or reading books. Angelo Dundee's book is good! I don't think you know how big of a sport was back in the day, it was an obsession that everyone knew about! yes allot of claims of fights back in the day where ridiculous but look at old fights! I know your a smart guy and you'll begin to put the math together. but honestly it's all there you will start to question the records of some of the greats like Sugar Ray Robinson considering he avoided allot of fighters who would have had his number! Ali ducked George Chavalo in his prime! boxing is and was all about timing! Who had it and who didn't Allot of fighters don't today...allot!
