I basically think that some fighters often do get in the ring with some minor injury but I don't think that he had a bad shoulder injury and just waited for a moment like this... it is just some stuff that happens... it is of course bad for everyone involved - I think that Chad doesn't want to become champion like that and I also don't think that a title should change hands of a injury that was caused by a non punch...

Both obvisouly don't want a rematch for whatever reasons... I think that from Hopkins side Chad is simply a bad match up - he punches straight... has very good handspeed and condition... overall the tools to simply outwork him - for Bernard at this stage in his career a bad match up...

Chad probably don't want to deal with all that stuff that Hopkins brings again outside and inside the ring but Hopkins still got that title...

I'm also more interested in seeing Chad-Pascal again then Chad-Hopkins... but I don't think that Pascal goes one more time into the ring with Hopkins so Chad-Pascal will happen hopefully.

    • That seems very odd.

      • I find it odd this whole situation. Hopkins suffered a similar fall in the 2nd fight with Echols. Yet still carried on fighting. I don't know, something stinks.

        Cut to 3:55

Are you implying that if your man is fouled multiple times, whether or not his opponent is cautioned or penalized by the referee, that it would give him carte blanche to foul him back. In the gyms it can run like that but in a professional prize ring it will not and does not work that way. You should know that...........Rockin'
Are you kidding dude? Its a Hopkins fight. The same guy that compared a boxing match to a gun fight and said he will do whatever it takes to win.

How about this, if Hops was fouled, do you think he would just stand there and take those fouls? Because thats what it sounds like you're asking Chad to do.

              • All I know is that Hopkins avoided Dawson like the plague for years.

Had to be ordered into fighting Dawson.

Proceeded to headbutt and clinch as much as he could.

The put on an Oscar worthy performance when he hit the canvas.

Jumping on the opponents back is illegal in boxing Bumpkins.

No I'm not kidding. It doesn't matter who is fighting, if one fighter fouls another it is the referees job to caution/warn a fighter. Just because a fighter is being fouled does not mean them that he is allowed to foul the guy right back.

I know where you're coming from though, if I was fouled in a bout I would generally bust the guy in the nutz and while the referee cautioned me I would ***** about the foul that was done to me to make sure that he's aware of it.

In the professional ring being fouled does not give you the right to foul him back. It's as plain and simple as that. Work with-in the rules of the game and you won't have to worry about it...........Rockin'

Ice is clearly on his neck, not his shoulder.

                    • Icepack / icepress + Towel behind the neck is quite a common thing isn't it?
