It is weird, but at the same time the guy is 46 years old. Im sure his body is full of aches and pains, especially at the end of a grueling training camp.

yea, but u rest before the fight...heal up, get strong...and the point is IF he had something wrong already then that casts a HUUUUGE doubt and shadow and cloud over the whole situation!!!

Maybe Hopkins already had a separated AC joint from training, and used the fall on his butt, to purposely roll on his elbow, and claim the fall caused the AC joint separation. There he 1. keeps his title, which already worked. 2. Get an NC which is on it's way. 3. Doesn't fight Dawson again. 4. Makes $1MM for absolutely nothing.

Has happened before, where a small niggling injury has worsened in a bout.
