    Felix Trinidad
    Oscar De la Hoya
    Howard Eastman
    Glen Johnson
    Keith Holmes
    Carl Daniels
    William Joppy

I don't want to get into this whole Hopkins thing again... largely because this thread isn't even ABOUT Hopkins... but why do people talk about a little Latino fella like DLH as if he was a genuine threat to a middleweight? "Wow, B-Hop's the best, he ****ed up a 5'2 Latino - he must be the new Sugar Ray!"

Same for Felix "I'll get hit with a jab non-stop for 12 rounds against Winky" Trinidad. And Hopkins admits he did a safety-first win against The Nuff Tumper.

People go "Oh, but he got the 20th defence." You know, I often wonder if Hopkins had dropped his drawers and let Howard bum him senseless over the ropes whether people would still go "he did what he had to do to win, he got the 20th defence."

Johnson before he got seasoned, Joppy (again, a smaller guy) when he got past it?

Hopkins seems to do two things - attack when his opponent is smaller, keep on the back foot when they're bigger. Know what the word for that is? BULLY.

I just checked the voting, and can you believe it? Super_Lightweight picked "Roy would have been laid out."

I pmed S_L to ask about it and he replied "Yeah, look, I stick up for Roy on the boards, but between me and you I know he's got a china chin and **** it against Tarver last month... I was ashamed of the puss-puss but I was too embarrassed to say."

*gasp* You're going to hell for saying that.

I don't know who claims Hops is badass for beating DLH, but it is a good win and certainly the only case we are trying to make (and it's an easy one to make) is that Hops' resume is better than Joe's. Then we have Martin who judges Hops on his crap performances vs Eastman and Taylor. It just gets tiresome arguing with someone like that, and **** I don't even LIKE Hopkins. Hope Taylor owns his ass and hoped Eastman would have.

Actually, I dunno if I ever said this, but I really DO like Roy a lot. I love that style of boxing. I was just so let down by Tarver III. When it got to round five it was like Roy of old, but then he seemed content just to stay conscious. I was really disappointed... but only cos I love the guy so much.

This Ruiz/Jones topic has been covered before. it is an interesting debate but i think it clear that after Jones beat Ruiz, dropping down back to light heavy was wht did him in. The reduction in weight after blowing up to heavyweight ( especially at age 34 ) screwed him up. Jones looked sensational at times in the Ruiz fight and the four fights he has had since he looked slow, labored and shot. What's the difference? Dropping from heavy to lightheavy in one go. That was Jones' downfall!

From top to bottom this is a pretty bad post son.

First off Carl Daniels and William Joppy are not big fights, neither is Keith Holmes for that matter son. Do you understand this?

Secondly it was Tito and Oscar who sought out fights at middleweight...and you give credit to Nard for not ducking either of them? Listen son Nard had never made any real money until a couple of lighter weight superstars decided to challenge him...Nard should lick Tito's balls and finger Oscar's ass for decided to move up...without either guy his wallet is considerably lighter as is his legacy...do you understand?

As for not knowing most of the fighters on the list...they are not exactly obscure fighters...to think a real knowledgable fan like yourself doesnt know who Charles Brewer is saddens me it just ****ing saddens me.

I have always read each of your posts with a certain amount of giddiness...your knowledge throughout your days on these boards has been just like Michael Nunn's...2nd too Nunn but Im afraid with this post you have taken a step back...hell son you sound like a dip****...

Everybody has a bad post from time to time...pick yourselef up son and come back stronger with your next post...you have to admit this was some awful **** right?

You're a funny ****er Scap. And I love the use of the retro word "dip****"... a nice touch. Plus the cherry on the top, you act like your abuse is a necessary favour that hurts you more than it hurts him... pure class.
