Has paquiao really gotten that much better???

maybe pacs managment dont want him to cut weight and then go back up cause that can mess ur reflexes up possibly
but 140 wouldnt be hard for pac to make at all
all he would have to do is take a dump before the weigh in
i still think the fight is gonna be good as long as it lastsComment

i am asking questions, you seems so agitated there, im not saying your putting pacquiao down, have i? you must still be reading those other posts. am not comparing srr and armstrong just to compare am asking a question for you to elaborate on your statement about the style to beat bigger guys and those are part of the question. maybe youre the one who should read my post again without a perceived sound of delivery just plain written question, dont read with perceived emotions.i was never putting him down
he has the handspeed that the bgger guys cant see
his defense is better caus ehe can see there punches
he has a chin and the power of amiddleweight
andhis footspeed allows him to get away with his lunging flurries twithout the big guys capitalizing on his mistakes
he has gotten slightly more experienced and he is not cutting weight like crazy anymore but its easier to look lik ur skills are better against bigger slower guys
he is slighlty better his skillsthat he had sinse about the second marquez ffight are about he same just more refinde=a little
but he hasnt evolved
read throught the whole thread and read the title closley
"has he gotten THAT MUCH BETTER" not "pac still sucks"
and ur srr and armstrong comparisons areway offComment

really it doesn't matter, the lower it gets is just the higher the possibility that pacquiao has to follow a strict diet to get down to a weight, which is never a good idea for performance and niether is ballooning which will eventually leave you old over night in a fight
i say it doesn't really matter because pacquiao would more than likely come at 144 anyway, which seems his natural weight
marquez should just do the same and look for his natural weight and im sure he'd come around 136-138 at the weigh in
because looking at his past he comes in fairly close to the limit of 135 which shows he's carefully monitoring his weight rather than just getting comfortable and giving the body what it craves
i dont know why everyone has to be the same weight nowadays, everyone it seems is afraid of getting outsized
weight isn't as much a factor as height + weight, pacquaio is smaller than marquez and doesn't have the style to really impose his weight anyway, so this whole weight arguement seems really inconsequentialLast edited by SplitSecond; 10-17-2011, 12:35 AM.Comment

the fans pay to see a fightand about that issue regarding "cutting the ring", people ask for that or use pacquiao's inability to "cut the ring" as a brick to throw on manny, does his style needs that? to "cut the ring" when his oppos are on their bicycle trying to avoid his wrath, or they maybe talking about opponents that are experts in potshots, yeah hell lose on points but losing on potshots is that something to be ashamed of when youre an accomplished warrior, meaning people know when you climb up the ring you always come to fight. but wait a minute, is the trainer been factored in? roach cant teach manny how to cut the ring? i doubt that, maybe "cutting the ring" in those fights are not included in the strategy because theres no need for it. manny being manny is a compassionate guy, and he himself said thatboxing is not about killing your opponent. maybe when theres a need to really "cut the ring" hell display it, thats one more reason to watch pacquiao fights. he brings new things everytime he fights at least in his fighting repertoire. as for style, well you can also say pacquiao's mindset is also a factor in his beating bigger guys. pacquiao has a competitive spirit, he loves good scrap, to a point hes a masochist, he loves pain the same rate he loves giving it..
and expect him to close the show if his opponent is overmatched
how is it sadistic to go for the knockout??
he is putting his opponent out of their missery if anythingComment

yes i think it is marquez's fault if he comes in heavy and it slows him downreally it doesn't matter, the lower it gets is just the higher the possibility that pacquiao has to follow a strict diet to get down to a weight, which is never a good idea for performance and niether is ballooning which will eventually leave you old over night in a fight

if he doesnt i think it would go the distance if he comes in heavy then i think pac will knock him out
either way marquez is gonna give pac some troublewith his counterpunching in combonations even if he does get stopped eventually
i think it will be good tooComment

true, it's much better than a prolonged beating which results in bruising of the tissues and brain damageComment
