fights like these just prove how fighting 12 rounds is truly fighting at world class level as oppose to these 10 rounders, we've seen it with Alexander when he escaped from Matthysse and on a couple FNF's this year already. Had that been a 10 round fight Linares would have won by a wide margin DeMarco began to turn it up starting in the 6 rd realizing he had 6 more rounds left to adjust. Kinda amateurish of Linares though to attempt to stand his ground while cut badly and exchange with DeMarco when he could of just slowed the pace pot shotted and boxed for 2 more rounds. The only time Demarco even let his hands go is when Linares threw more than 1 punch and it was more out of desperation than anything, Demarco ended up breaking his nose badly and closing the show..

He didn't get broken down, worn down, outskilled out willed, he suffered bad luck, busted his nose, the cut pacman give him in training opened up, and his face was gushing blood. Last round, he couldn't see ****, so he stood and traded, and it ended up bad.
Which alludes to my point that it makes Valero look good from destroying DeMarco the way he did. This fight makes me feel like my money wasn't totally wasted on this PPV, because I did decide to buy it.

Great performance by both fighters. Very Chavez/Taylor like. But it reminds me of something rarely talked about that is important in boxing and that's a guys skeletal face structure. Linares is great but has a nice thin pointy nose and let's just say Shane Mosley would never have a cut like that one on his nose. Some guys have flat faces and leather like skin that seems perfect for the sport. Lots of heart from both guys. Rematch please

Linares being a sore loser and saying a headbutt opened the cut on his nose. He was making excuses when he lost to Salgado as well. What a ***n crybaby

Damn, how good does this make Valero look now? Edwin hammered this guy effortlessly.

Too bad he was a nut.

Well I have always maintained that Valero was much better than people give him credit for.
