To be honest there's nothing wrong with what Floyd did, it's just that u would think a real champion would have done it differently.. Ortiz wasn't winning the fight let's be real but if floyd was that good he could of finish Ortiz off the right way. Real facts, both guys were desperate and took every and any opportunity that comes up.

Protect yourself at all times doesn't mean you hit or will get hit when there is no action, for exemple : when boxers touch gloves during a fight, if one boxer throws a right hand instead, it will be a cheap shot, even if you have to protect yourself, you know you won't get hit when the referee haven't told you to boxe.
In fact it happened to me in training, the trainer had stop the action to tell the other guy something but when someone came close to the ring to talk to the trainer, he forgot to tell us to continue ( we have to wait...) but the ***** throw me a right hand, i still have that broken teeth ! All I can say is...wow. What a f***ing punk, even if he is an ultra talented one. He didn't need to do that. At this point FMJ has **** all over boxing. When your biggest draw pulls that kind of stuff, and people excuse or justify it it means that boxing culture has lost it's way. I don't even want to see the guy get KTFO at this point, he deserves a bullet on the Vegas strip. Nothing more. The streets will catch up to FMJ at some point. When he stated that it would add to his legacy, he lost any respect I had for him. Absolute scumbag.Comment

Or Floyd was pissed that Ortiz hit him with more headbutts than punches. Floyd is there to fight, not kiss and hug. Nothing wrong punching Ortiz like he did.
However I dont think Floyd believed he hit him hard enough to KO him like that. Hell I didnt even think he hit him that hard. I think Floyd's intent was to show he wasnt about kissing and hugging but that of fighting. The fact Ortiz was KO'ed I think surprised him as it did me, because it looked to have the same power Mosley took in the same situation.
