For those who say Cotto never called him out you're partially right but when asked about Floyd Cotto responded that Floyd was a fighter who avoided the tough fights and that he was available to fight all the big names in boxing. When Floyd was asked about Cotto after Hatton when the fight was in high demand he said I want to retire from boxing I dont want boxing to retire me.

Bruceles being a wram up fight for cotto is bascally a known fact amongst real hardcore boxing fans in the meantime cotto was getting wobbled around the ring by c level opponents and arum quickly became very cautious of *****g his rising star in the ring with pbf. Floyd Mayweather would destroy Miguel Cotto easy then & now. There's no question Top Rank protected Miguel Cotto. The fight should of happenend anyways tho. Miguel Cotto is 1 of the MOST OVERRATED boxers of all time.

Arum always wanted to see Floyd losing.I remember how livid Arum was when Castillo got beat by Floyd.Arum thought he was feeding Floyd to Castillo and it didnt happen.Arum would never have had any issues if Cotto was better than Floyd.How can you work with a promoter who wants to see you beat all the time?
