X2... I could care what floyd says...he is a boring cherry picker.

Floyd is using Cotto as a test now for Pacquiao. He wants to see how the excuses for the ducking plays out in the public. Floyd will spend his entire life explaining the names Cotto, Margarito, Pacquiao and a few others.

WHy do you guys pick and choose which floyd quotes you use? top rank wouldn't let him fight cotto, yet you only talk about 3 years later when he said he "retired". He called Mosley out for 2 years, but you conveinently leave that off. Tszyu lost to Hatton, killed that fight, so we blame floyd, even though he fought the guy who kille Kosta.

Kostya tsyzu is another fighter pbf was calling out and gunning for but the loss to hatton blew that one up in smoke.

Real boxing fans remember all this despite the revisionist history
          I remember that

So Floyd wanted to fight Cotto in 05 when he saw Cotto get rocked by Corley and Torres. But when he saw Cotto dominate Malignaggi and Quintana he said *** it.

Floyd could/should have fought Cotto right after Cotto's win over Mosley.

How come you don't think cotto should've stuck to the plan and forced top rank to make the floyd fight since he went to ringside for gatti/floyd?

“When you call yourself the best boxer in the world you have to fight with the best. There are other names at 147 pounds and if Mayweather does not have the courage to get in the ring to fight with me, my career has to continue. I won’t wait for him.” –Miguel Cotto 2008

Floyd Mayweather would destroy Miguel Cotto easy then & now. There's no question Top Rank protected Miguel Cotto. The fight should of happenend anyways tho. Miguel Cotto is 1 of the MOST OVERRATED boxers of all time.

Arum always wanted to see Floyd losing.I remember how livid Arum was when Castillo got beat by Floyd.Arum thought he was feeding Floyd to Castillo and it didnt happen.Arum would never have had any issues if Cotto was better than Floyd. How can you work with a promoter who wants to see you beat all the time?
