That was 2008. Why didn't miguel force top rank to make the floyd fight in 05 after the gatti fight? Cotto essentially did what mosley did, duck then make alot of noise because haters will blame floyd.

This is old news. Everyone who has followed the welter and junior welterweight division for more than the last 3 years knows that back when Mayweather was still with Top Rank he tried to make a fight with Miguel Cotto. As a matter of fact, it was Top Rank's refusal to guarantee him a shot at Cotto that led Floyd to the Baldomir fight instead of a Margarito fight and away from Top Rank promotions. But you have to have been following boxing for more than the last 3 years to know these things. And if you are a ******* you just want to pretend that none of this stuff ever happened so you can hold on to your fantasy world where Floyd supposedly ducked Cotto.

Cotto looked shook when he was ringside for the Floyd-Gatti fight and you could tell he wanted no parts of Floyd.

Cotto even wobbled against Mallignagi and he even got a questionable decision victory over Mosley and Clottey. There is no way that Floyd would duck Cotto at any weight.

Floyd most definitely ducked Margarito and he even came out and said it after Margarito was caught with the loaded wraps. But people just use that as an excuse just to hate on Floyd knowing that they would have never given him the credit of beating Margarito. He was and still is a high risk low reward fighter, unless you are Miguel Cotto.

Wrong. Floyd Mayweather was offered the same amount of money to fight Carlos Baldomir (The Unified Welter Weight Champion) as Top Rank offered him to fight Margarito. But they would not guarantee him a shot against Cotto after the Margarito fight. Mayweather left Top Rank and went on to fight and defeat Carlos Baldomir which set up a fight with Oscar De la Hoya that went on to sell 2.4 million PPV and the rest is history. Floyd Mayweather Jr. ducking Margarito is another Top Rank fairytale meant to defame Floyd Mayweather Jr. and bolster Top Rank and it's fabricated fighters.

Everyone knows Floyd ducked Coto and Marg, repeatedly. This is what Floyd is notorious for cherry picking and ducking. Its the ONLY reason he has an undefeated record.

It means nothing when you take 'vacations' for years, and duck anyone who can beat you. Thats why Floyd won't be remembered has highly as Pacquiao. Oh and the women beating, child beating, and crazy rants, that hurts too.
