He fought Forbes before Pac and looked like ****, took almost another year and then fought Pac.

His inactivity doomed him. You can still be past prime and do good but you need to keep active.
He fought Pacquiao a couple months after Forbes.

That same inactivity that may or may not have doomed Oscar has now piled up on Floyd today. We'll see what effect it has.

I think he beats a Pac just because Pac likes to fight and wouldnt be no defensive wizard like Sweet Pea was when he fought Oscar. Pac likes to throw down and would come to fight and I just cant see Pac dealing with the height, reach, power and the movement that a prime Oscar would give him at either 135, 140, or 147, plus you know he would walk into a left hook/left uppercut that Oscar was known for back then.

Think about it. A good jab and defensive movements plus counterpunching gives Pac many problems (look at the Morales, Marquez fights for proof) but Oscar was much bigger, faster and stronger than them two and he had an amazing jab, lethal left hand and a chin, that added to his defensive movements that he use to be able to pull off back then I say he beats Pac in my opinion in a really good fight. Pacs southpaw stance would give him trouble but since Pac aint no defensive wizard I see him losing this one.

Floyd Im not sure about because Floyd is very very defensive and he doesnt waste anything. He only strikes when hes sure he will land and Oscar would definitely have to be the aggressor and he would be getting counterpunched alot but I think he gives Floyd problems by shoe shinning combinations at him and especially the last 30 seconds to steal the rounds. I see Floyd feeling the power of Oscars left hand early in the fight and being weary of getting caught with a left hand for the rest of the fight and doing everything possible to stay away from the left hand and that costing him a close decision because Oscar would jab him and jab him to disrupt his rhythm and then fire combinations at him with the threat of a left landing and make Floyd look like hes fighting intimidated, but this fight would be closer in my opinion because of Floyds defense and accuracy.

Its not so outrageous to think that prime ODLH would have beat them at 135, 140, or 147 in IMHO.

Cool to have your own opinion, but those two words don't go together.

I see the cretin schools have been closed up, and let them all loose on the streets. One of them obviously has found BoxingScene.

I just hate to see this kind of racist crap on a boxing site I like.

Im' not sure, Mosley was old when he fought Floyd and Manny, but I don't think a younger, faster, fresher version of Mosley is enough to beat those two beasts.

Let's keep it real, people talk about Floyd being a fraud and Pacquiao a bum.

Pacquiao won 12 rounds against Clottey and Mosley, made those two warriors look like quiters.

He ruined Margo and Cotto(current 154 WBA Champ).

Floyd is undefeted through 5 weight classes (ok he ducked but that's still impressives).

Trinidad looked like a bum against Winky (who never really impressed me) and made Oscar look like Ray Robinson (and Lance Amstrong in the last rounds ok).
I can see Floyd outboxing him and Pacquiao who is way faster and busy outboxing Tito.

Oscars prime is greater than either one of these guys. I'm not sure that equals victory because styles make fights but if I had to lay it down I'd say he beats both. Prime Oscar was beautiful. Great jab, good footwork, nice power he had it all.

I have never understood this De La Hoya jab myth. Its not like he was winning a number of the early rounds. He was solidly behind the whole fight. That was a poorly judged fight, it was a crystal clear 8-4.

DLH still would have lost. Oscar lost every major challenge he's ever had with the exception of his match with Quartey, and that was a gift as well.

Outside of the Quartey bout, DLH has lost EVERY major match he's ever had at and above 147. Before then he fought an aray of old fighters and hyped opponents.

He lost to Sweet Pea as well but that was just another Golden gift that DLH got.

He would have been befuddled by Floyd. Especially if he tried to bully him at the WW limit of 147lbs.

Am I the only on BS who thinks Pacquiao is smarter and better than 4 years ago?

It's so obvious to me, just the way he moves in the ring is better, Pac was fighting like a ****** at 130.

He looked smart against Cotto and Mosley, made no mistake, he's more patient.

I mean, that cat started boxing at 15 years old, so obviously he wasn't prime at 25, let alone 20 when he lost those 2 fights by ko.
