This thread clearly shows the new era are just as much in love with Oscar as they were back then. For some reason.

This thread makes me feel like I'm back in 1997.

And I'm guessing that it's never going away considering the new fans are adopting it.
Although some feel this way, I actually feel the opposite, it's a relief that some here remember how good a prime Oscar was.

Prime Oscar destroys both hypejobs. The late 90's was a much tougher battlefield than the current Hbo structure where any bum with a nationalistic following who can sell gets hyped as a great fighter.

Don't even get me started on Mayweather. This guy's whole career is a fraud.

            Worse than Pacquiao.

Oscar was very good. But im not sure if he was ever great.

They would have been great exciting fights. I see Pac being too much for him, and maybe the closer fight between Oscar and floyd.
But Oscar could have won both.

Yeah and 30 pounds smaller and 6 inches shorter. And after he went through a brutal trilogy with El Terrible.

It's so obvious to me, just the way he moves in the ring is better, Pac was fighting like a ****** at 130.

He looked smart against Cotto and Mosley, made no mistake, he's more patient.

I mean, that cat started boxing at 15 years old, so obviously he wasn't prime at 25, let alone 20 when he lost those 2 fights by ko.
you gotta be kidding me. pacquiao looked terrible against mosley. constantly throwing punches and falling forward, off balance.

                      oh, he had a cramp.
