Yeah. We got 3 top SMW fights in a week. It doesn't get much better.

Although this is the top fight of that week, I don't think it'll be the best fight. I think it'll be quite ugly and perhaps a little dissapointing. I see a clear UD for Ward. Speed is the key here and Ward is so much faster than Froch.

I just want to see Ward clocked with a right hand. If he can handle it, he probably wins and deserves a high ranking in the pound for pound rankings. If he can't, then all those accolades go to Mr. Froch, along with a Fighter of the Year award IMO.

(the contract for the Super Six stated NEUTRAL referees would be used, but Goossen's California man Jack Reiss was in there).

        - before the fight, there were a lot of head games from the Ward camp, for example Kessler's gloves being questioned, even though they knew there was nothing wrong with them
Foul play was present, but in no way do I feel it dictated the course of the fight. Kessler just came up against someone who had superior game to him.

And like I said, if it happened in Denmark -- Mikkel would have lost most rounds only to win by DQ. If people are happy to claim that as a victory, then do so.

Unaware of the gloves issue, but he's has never struck me as someone who’s mentally weak enough to have been thrown off his game by something like that.

I think Ward's beard gets somewhat underrated here actually. He took some great shots from Bika without much difficulty.

Fighter of the year? I rekcon it's Hopkins to lose. But of course the s6 winner will be in the running.

I think will no only beat Ward but will outbox him as well. Froch's footwork and handspeed are very underrated, Froch is also more adept at throwing combinations and has a good inside game too, and if Ward wants the rough stuff, Froch can bring that too.

True, Hops is up there, especially if he defeats Dawson. But I'm partial to Froch and Ward--two of my faves.

Froch is as dirty as any fighter.

                This should be fun.

Ya, I can see Ward getting dirty right with him.

I'm sure the headgames before the fight didn't affect Mikkel much, because he's mentally strong.

But I could see Jack Reiss was confusing him and throwing him off a bit, by admonishing him over and over again for nothing, while permitting Ward to foul as much as he wanted to.

And without a doubt, the deliberate headbutt in the third round affected Kessler. You can see him blinking after that, trying to clear his vision, like McLennan did after the headbutt in the Benn fight.

Under fair circumstances, without the headbutts and with an honest referee, Kessler would have been fighting much better and would have adjusted to Ward's style and won the fight by clear decision of late KO.

Froch has no inside game and I see the excuses for his loss have already started.
