Froch Tells Ward: Don't butt me like you butted Mikkel Kessler.

People are making alot of excuses for kessler in this thread.

Ward is a dirty fighter and he did land headbutts later in the fight but to me it was clear Kessler was out of his depth as soon as the fight started.

Ward beat him from range and on the inside. Ward didnt rack up rounds by headbutting kessler,he scored rounds by landing better punches and basically controlling the tempo of every round.

It was a shame that the fight ended because of headbutts but it was clear Kessler was a beaten man before they occurred.

more like people are flat out lying for kessler in this thread. kessler was NOT butted in the 3rd round......

But that was about 6,7 rounds in, no? It just looked to me that Kessler wasn't quite in boxing shape yet and was out of his league.

Kessler defintiely was not at his best anymore. I recall a sparring session with some random guy where Kessler didn;t look good, and this was around pre Super Six. I didn't think much of it ebcause it was sparring, but tbh something isn't right about him. Even his win VS Frooch to me was close and more to do with Froch using the wrong tactics by sitting on the ropes etc...

It is almost as if Kessler is gunshy.

i said a long time ago i thought this fight was gonna be messy.

Froch is more than willing to fight dirty if he feels he has been fouled or gets frustrated. Ward will do both to him.

Hope Froch pulls of the upset but I cant see this going any other way than a Ward decision win or maybe by DQ

Looks like there was an attempt at the 0.30 mark. Not that obvious though. The one at 3.20 looks pretty blatant. Ward swings his skull up directly into Kesslers face after he had taken a punch.

I remember in the Johnson fight,Johnson went low the very next punch Froch answered with a low blow of his own..Same with Dirrell,he kept on holding so Froch started hitting behind the head and even slamed his punk azz..Just come to fight no need for dirty tricks..But just know your not the only one who can play dirty..
