I don't get all the "Floyd is past his prime" talk

I mean of course he can't move like he did when he was in his early 20's, but boxing is more than that. What really defines someone's "prime" in boxing then? I mean it's a young man's sport, so if Floyd isn't in his physical prime anymore, how come guys aren't hitting him still? Because he's a master in the ring mentally? I mean a lot of veteran fighters know a lot about the game, but they are physically past it so are unable to keep fighting. Body and mind, so I refuse to believe Floyd is past it. I'm getting a bit philosophical here so I'll just stop for now.

Fighting once every 2 years doesn't make him past his prime. Does make him a coward who doesn't care about boxing or his fans. I love my fans so much that I will fight once every two years and then go on vacation! unless I need my fans money, then I will fight again.

In a way I think Floyd has almost become a better fighter with age, it's damn near impossible to hit him now and his punch stats and getting hit ratio is mind blowing.
I think terms like "past his prime", "weight drained", and "overrated" get thrown around too easily by boxing fans today.

I'm sure Mayweather isn't a lot past his prime even if he is, Martinez is in his prime, Wladimir is in his prime. I think Pacquiao could still be in his prime but we will know against Marquez.
