He know win's fights by being more disiciplined, his brain, defense & relfexes.

You can tell how much his speed has declined in the Mosley fight.
have you seen the mosley fight his hand speed the best it's been in a while so i don't know what your talking about .

I mean of course he can't move like he did when he was in his early 20's, but boxing is more than that. What really defines someone's "prime" in boxing then? I mean it's a young man's sport, so if Floyd isn't in his physical prime anymore, how come guys aren't hitting him still? Because he's a master in the ring mentally? I mean a lot of veteran fighters know a lot about the game, but they are physically past it so are unable to keep fighting. Body and mind, so I refuse to believe Floyd is past it. I'm getting a bit philosophical here so I'll just stop for now.

That's right Comrade because we all know Mayweather has a secret time machine that transforms his body back into 2005 physical shape. Its impossible for Mayweather to age.

In a way I think Floyd has almost become a better fighter with age, it's damn near impossible to hit him now and his punch stats and getting hit ratio is mind blowing.

I think terms like "past his prime", "weight drained", and "overrated" get thrown around too easily by boxing fans today.

He's still technically good enough that he's better than most of his competition. But he's not as quick as he used to be, with his hands or his feet. His reflexes have slowed a touch. He's past his prime but still very good.

I agree I've seen it with MMA fans too. If a fighter gets to a certain age even if they dominate they say that fighter is past it. I look at performances then judge if a fighter is in their prime.

I'm sure Mayweather isn't a lot past his prime even if he is, Martinez is in his prime, Wladimir is in his prime. I think Pacquiao could still be in his prime but we will know against Marquez.

if we follow NSB logic and standards, pacquiao should be more past prime than floyd. he has 2KOs, one beating from Morales, and a 2 hard fights with marquez.

Actually believe it or not Larry he was getting hit far more in his prime than he is now.
