Floyd is definitely past his physical prime.

If you don't notice it then there's something the hell wrong with you.

What is rising incredibly though is his ring smarts? He's untouchable in that department.

I am a big fan of Floyd's boxing ability, and wish him well. I think he would have to be at his worst and Ortiz at his best for an upset to happen. That being said, does anyone remember when Leonard fought Terry Norris? SRL was 34. You never know when the time has come, and the decline begins.

its like when Jordan was winning chips in his second comeback. He wasn't even close to the athlete he was in the 80's but he was still the best player in the league.

Everyone knows that you are NOT as quick at 34 as you were at 24, EXCEPT if you are Manny Pacquiao. In that case a totally different set of rules apply.

Floyd's slowed down reflexes, hand speed, foot speed is only gonna make him take the initiative more, and he's VERY good at doing that. He'll just bring it more.

What clearly fell off noticeably is Mayweather's lead left hook, if you go from both the Oscar, Hatton fights to the Mosley fight, you'll notice a difference.

When a punch comes in, in order to successfully shoulder roll and deflect the punch, you must do so before the punch connects... that is his reflexes allowing him to do that.

When a fighter throws a jab, and Floyd leans back and to the side and shoots a counter right hand over the top... that is his reflexes allowing him to do that, and his speed allowing him to connect before the opponent can move out of the way.

He's an excellent defensive fighter, but those reflexes are what allows him to successfully use that defense... as he gets older and the punches seemingly start coming in faster, he will have trouble rolling BEFORE the punches come in.
ree****yaluss has made great points that I think people are not paying attention too. Floyd obviously has to rely on physical things like speed and reflexes which are still top notch. People think he's past his prime but his ring IQ bails him out, that's not true he needs to do things the mind tells him and that requires a very physical part of his game. And him being a counter puncher and defensive, he makes himself a target and his game is being built on making a person miss and hitting him back, a person past their prime cannot keep winning near shut outs if they are not near their prime at least.
