Then there is my personal favourite Tyson. Personally i would say he was the last guy to bring excitement to the division.
Lewis was hated and derided as "boring" almost as often as the Klitschkos are now when he was fighting, including in the UK, where he wasn't truly accepted until he retired. His condition against Vitali was par for the course for him and nothing unusual. And he was described as being in his "prime" the year before when he beat Tyson -- that's a very rapid decline he experienced.

It actually was NOT that bad a cut, was more of a y shaped gash, and was controlled from the 4th rd giving no problems thereafter. It was only the ****** doctor who said that "I asked him to look up and he couldn't his eyelid couldn't move. The ****** fool thought that Klitschko's eyelid nerves had been severed, making him effectively blind in one eye.

The fight was NOT stopped because of the eyebrow gash, which was not affecting anything. The doctor later gave a couple of other explanataions, i believe realising that he had made a mistake, because, as soon as Klitschko realised what was going on and that they'd stopped the fight he jumped to his feet BOTH EYES wide ope and blazing with fury. Telling..."I can zeee...I can zeee ver vell...". But by then it was too late and Lewis had been saved.

He showed his REAL common, unsportsman-like self in the after fight interview with larry merchant who pressed him on aVERY sort point. And for those who saw the Lewis PRE FIGHT interview, the result and the the post fight interview were just a big laugh and farce.

One who saw everything, was ME.....

It gets very tiresome having to state this stuff over and over again, but if we say nothing they get to romp and that seems not on either.

Now I have a question would Tyson be considered great if it wasn’t for the media hype machine backing him and telling us all of ‘iron Mike the badest man on the planet?

I believe the answer is no, because he simply never achieved half as much as what the hype surrounding him suggested. In reality he never beat anyone who was that good.
Bowe didn't "trash his belt because he wanted to avoid Lewis". He was all on for a Lewis fight. If he'd wanted to avoid Lewis there were other ways. But you know that Bowe was a bit nuts and very hasty we ALL know this.

His trainer gave a lengthy interview the other day, and this was the najor point he cleared up.

He was arguing with his trainer about something the WBC wanted him to do and which he didn't, I forget right now what it was, maybe to do with fees, definitely nothing to do with Lewis. The trainer said he'd risk being stripped, and Bowe, who had the belt in his hand, said ******* the WBC, and threw the belt in a nearby can. That was the whole story. And he was on the outs with the WBC after that.

technically, you can call Wlad great
he's dominated for years barely losing rds and unified
just too bad his division is poor
doesn't really have the opponents to be truly great

You serious? You are actually implying (or agreeing with) Lewis actually not being in his prime yet even though he'd been champion for all those years? Or is this a joke?
