    No.

The last great Heavyweight will be Wladimir Kltischko when he retires.

Lewis vs. Wald would be a 50:50 fight.

I've never understood people's reasoning when making comments relating to this

Do people think these cuts just magically appeared or something?

They were caused by punches so why the complaints? If they were due to butts then fine, complain away, but the fact that Lennox mashed Vitali's face up with shots means this type of argument hasn't got a leg to stand on IMO

Vitali was winning the fight, no doubts there, but people go on like he was robbed, when the truth is Vitali is lucky it was stopped, he could have left that fight with SERIOUS injuries

that really takes away from his career in my opinion. he finally gets a worthy challenger, gets beat up for most of the fight, and then refuses a rematch.

i can't think of another fighter that won by default, while losing on the cards, and never rematched . . . if you can think of one, then please tell me.
Bro, he WON the fight within 6 rounds. Losing that fight and then retiring would take something away from his legacy.

I believe Lennox was the last great Heavyweight Champion, however I’m hopeful that before I’m old and gray we see another Heavyweight champion of his calibre and a revival of the HW division i wont hold my breath though.

While we are talking about what Steward says i think its fair to bring up that he has gone on record saying Vitali's best achievement was losing to Lennox Lewis and that Wlad would never be considered as great as Lewis.

he won by default. . . if you don't think that was a fight where a rematch should have taken place, you don't deserve to be a boxing fan. . . ****, you don't even deserve feet if you don't think a rematch should have taken place to decide who is the better fighter. . .

Bleeding and cuts alone don’t always tell the story of a fight.

It’s true Lennox landed some titanic shots, Vitali landed his fair share too and had Lennox reeling from some. By the time they stopped the fight, Lennox looked pretty spent, whereas Vitali was in the ascendancy.

That’s a fair point, claim a win in exchange for your vision.
