Berto's corner was a ****ing mess, all anyone could hear including Berto was his brother sreaming pointless bits of advice like "be a warrior, be an assassin". Seemed like his trainer was having trouble getting a word in.

Regardless there didn't seem to be much Berto could do. Berto has always looked great against fighters who were much slower then he was, but against guys who have decent if not better speed then he does all his advantages go away.

I mean, Ortiz is now a bum and avg boxer and nothing special because of that fight. Yet Maidana was handled by a one eyed, past his prime 2 weight class lower fighter in Morales....but he's a much better fighter.

Keep sleeping on Ortiz, I will pick him over Khan and most at 140 to 147 with the exception of Pac and Mayweather but there's no shame in that.
Bradley beats him,Khan beats him(if his chin holds up)I'd pick Maidana over him..Jones I feel beats him as well..Now I could be wrong this is boxing but from what I seen from all the guy's named he looks like the weak link..He does not throw a jab he has no head movement and can't fight off the back foot..It's not to say Ortiz is a **** fighter just to say he is a good fighter with flaws who could lose bro..Not only to May and Pac but a few fighters, and one win over Berto(who is very unproven himself)does not change that..

ortiz knocks madiana ass out if they fight at 147. 140 took a toll on him probly why he had all those 10 rounders.saying maidiana has problying the best p4p power is overating who has he knock out besides ortiz he did'nt even knock him out. berto will be better from his loss to ortiz. just need to keep fighting stiff comp instead of pushovers.

Again with the 140lb weight drained excuse, not buying it...He had a size advantage over every opponent at the weight but was beat time and time again..And his lost to Maidana was not his first lost..There is no evidence he was weight drained and that's the reason for his lost..Like I said I would have to see more of him then just beating Berto before I co sign something like that..

            .
Floyd is going to make Ortiz go backwards. Floyd WILL walk forward on Ortiz.
Ortiz' footwork seems predicated on him coming forward, or doing that reset/circle thing that he does (oddly, even when far away).

I haven't seen Ortiz be effective when someone is closing the distance on him, and I would invite you to educate me with examples.

              1. Berto needs a new trainer, he was telling Andre to circle the wrong way against a southpaw, shouldn't you be trying to get AWAY from the power left hand of a southy? Berto was being told to move TOWARDS it....

              2. Ortiz is ALOT faster than what people think, he moves quick on his feet for a big dude and also lets the combos fly with speed ASWELL as his talked about power (the right uppercut, right hook straight left combo will be trouble for Floyd in their fight).

              3. If Ortiz and Maidana have part 2, Victor ****s Marcos and sends him home with a new vagina torn out of his flesh.

              4. When Mayweather vs Ortiz fight, Floyd will NOT back up. I'm willing to bet my house that Floyd will go to Ortiz and fight him on the inside. It's the only times in the Berto fight that Victor looked out of depth was when Andre took it to Victor, plus we saw what Rene did to him in their fight. I can't see Floyd stopping him though, he will do a Juan Manuel type fight and get some rounds under his belt just to keep active.

Anyone disagree with any of these, please feel free to fight you corner!
Problem with victor is how he handles adversity. That reason alone, Maidana probably always wins. Victor has quit in him. He started to look like he was going to quit before a breath of wind knocked berto down. That had to be teh weakest hook i'd ever seen in my life - berto was just so spent after blowing his load that he just fell over.

I told people the day of the fight Berto would lose because he had noticeable "cotton mouth" at the weigh in. A lot of clowns on this site acted like I was overreacting. I box, I should know what cotton mouth means - it's no surprise he got as fatigued as he did after what I saw at the weigh in.

Wow, you just don't think anything of Ortiz do you?

Bradley at 147 beats him? Because Ortiz is not fighting at 140 ever again folks, let's get that straight.

Bradley is too small for him and Ortiz will run him down. Jones will NOT beat him, he arguably lost the first fight with Soto Karass, come on.

Khan could beat him but would have to box him for 12 rounds and if Maidana could touch him, I have no doubt Ortiz can too. I think Ortiz KO's Khan in the later rounds.

I agree with all of this. I would love to see Khan vs Ortiz at 147. I think Ortiz would put Khan on ***** street at some point.

Lol, Bradley. Didn't you say Alexander would beat him too? No, at 147 Ortiz will **** them all.

This. But I'm one of the few that think the first part no matter who he fights. He'll get squashed by Floyd who everyone will say is no P4P number 1 and all he did was beat a guy who recently quit, got a draw against Peterson and beat a bigger hypejob than himself.
