I think you confuse best with skilled. If you talk about the general term best, It's who is able to beat everyone else. Who is the kingpin.

Now if you go into detail and ask about the best left hook etc, the answer will be different.

Same thing if you ask who has the best technique, or is the smartest.

Or, you know, if you throw in the whole p4p stipulation. That also changes it.

I'm done with this thread. I think It's crystal clear, yet extremely non intriguing. I had no real interest in the question of the topic, but chimed in anyway.

(oh and size is not a variable here. Theres actually only "who can beat who")

The heavyweight division has always been seen as the pinnacle of the best, that's why it has, in the past, been such a highly regarded championship. Nobody cares right now because 99% of the division are glorified cab drivers/club fighters and we all know it. To be the heavyweight champion these days is akin to winning the special olympics, that's how far the division has fallen.
Damn you are dumb... to be the HW champ these days you have to beat a Klitschko, which means you have to be an ATG, HOF fighter... or have you been living under a rock for the past 7 years?

Cmon man. I get you like Wlad and Vital but really they are not household names. Being the HWT champ isn't what it used to be.

Huh? You seem to disagree with my post.

          Did you read his response?

He said it is easy to be a HW Champ these days, which is complete bull**** because to be a HW champ "these days", means beating a Klitschko, which we all know from the past 8 years (almost a decade) hasn't been done. So his post was dumb as hell.... cause he clearly doesn't understand what he is saying or what he is talking about.

Yeah, you are right, it's actually harder than almost in any point in boxing history. It was easier to beat a prime Tyson than it is to beat these Klitschkos. If someone legitemately beats a Klitschko these days, it means -1) Klitschkos got injured or 2) That fighter has serious skills and is probably going in the HOF himself.

I think being the HWT champ nowadays isn't a big deal because the current champs success IMO is about 45% skills and 55% quality of opposition. The 2 best challengers for the HWT title in the last 6 yrs has been 2 blown up cruserweights.

Wlad and Vitali are like George Mikan and Dolph SChayes. They are HOF's but its due to the period they fight in.

If you believe this after watching his performance vs Haye then I don;'t know what to say.

I hope that Helenius guy, fat goofy looking Nordic with a hot wife knocks one of these Klits out with his right hand for the good of the HW division

i also seemed to notice something, the taller these guys get, the less skilled they become. not their fault, takes a lot of energy lumbering around their big ass bodies

i wish we went back to the days where the HWs were 5-10 to 6-3

not 6 foot 7 slow ass behemoths

Such shame people hate on the Klits.

They beat their best challenges - Division is dead

They are ATG - compare them to Ali

The haters always finding a way to take away their achievements but yet praise someone like Joe Louis who most of them haven't even seen fight and picked on bums nonstop.
