Why do people say that margarito is shot?

Do you see a difference in Pac circa 2000 and Pac now? It's either because you don't know Margarito well and his fighting style or don't know boxing enough to see when people aren't doing the things they used to do well....I suspect a bit of both.

Fighters start to slip. It's the nature of boxing. The Margarito thing is really damn simple. He looked worse than in his entire career against Mosley and got knocked out brutally. A career changing beating. He never could have recovered from that.

It's like people who say Duran was still prime after Leonard II. He was still good but he had lost everything to those who knew him well. Guys like you who say "Explain what's lost? He still has everything and is still in his prime" just don't get it. The fire was gone. That small amount of extra intensity needed in daily training that separates the best from the rest. At the elite level it's the small things and he had lost them.

If you can't see it it's because you don't know what you're even looking for. To someone who can see it, it's as bloody obvious as the sun rising.

Mate, there's a difference with "slipping" with being shot. Isn't it? We're talking about being shot here.

Margarito isn't technically shot, but when it came to fighting Pacquiao it was a complete joke.

They ducked Margarito until they seen ALOT of Flaws and things they could exploit, kinda like they did Mosley. In the end Team Roach waited until Margarito and Shane both were shot to make the fight happen.

It was you *******s that did that, you guys were happy that Ortiz had defeated a black guy that reminded you of Floyd, plus he was undefeated.

Do me a favor, go back into the threads the night of the fight after Ortiz won, all of you guys were on Ortizs ****...a few of you even said Mayweather would never step into the ring with someone prime like Ortiz, but Pacman would, and Pac vs Ortiz would be a great fight.

Next thing you know, Ortiz signs to fight Floyd and Pacquiao fans started to call Ortiz a bum, when 6 days ago they LOVED Ortiz.

The guy has 7 losses and if you take away the Cotto fight (which I think most of us can agree he probably cheated) has not beaten one elite fighter in his entire career (unless you count Sergio 100 years ago). Someone please answer me this, when was the last time Antonio Margarito won a meaningful fight? Answer that question and then you should be able to understand why some people think he has lost a step.
