Disagree. Not sure how one can consider wingspan in a debate regarding size? I'm not going to debate the characteristics of each fighter, because that has nothing to do with my initial point. Mayweather and Paqcuiao are definitely not more than 1 - 1 1/4 inches apart. That is far from a huge difference, and would not come close to making either one a "midget" in relation to the other. Now, I will readily admit that Mayweather is much stockier than Pacquiao.

And only 1 inch Apart? dude you just sound dumb now, did you not hear HBO commentators complaining about how much bigger and taller Floyd was than Marquez who is 5'7 and a full inch taller than Pacquiao? Floyd was even bigger than Mosley last yr and everyone knows wingspan equals reach so it must factor into the size equation.. man like I said in the real world the size difference is not much, but If you are talking about putting them inside a 12X12 boxing ring at 147 with their shoes on Mayweather would make Pacquiao look so small he'd look like he should be fighting back at 140.. the size difference is pretty much non debatable no matter which way you try an phrase it because as you can see already no one agrees with your assessment, IJS doesn't necessarily mean Floyd will win but he is much bigger than Pacquiao, what you are saying is like someone stating that Floyd and Sergio are the same size because Sergio is only 2 inches taller.. the difference in size between Sergio and Floyd is just about the same as Floyd and Manny give or take 12 pounds..

There's a 5 inch reach difference and a 2 inch height diff. That means that Mayweather is noticeably a larger person than MannyP. And having a larger frame, he will be able to pack it on considerably in the rehydration process. You guys all forget that "rehydration" is only partically connected to water. It's mainly connected to FOOD, which, well within the 36 hours, turns into solid flesh.

If you go TOO far in taking off weight, like Oscar did and Corrales did, then no amount of food and rehydration is going to have a good effect in such a short time.. It could take months to get back to normal, You guys should read the conditions of the famous Captain Bligh 3,000 mile voyage in an open boat living on rainwater and scraps, and how they managed to revitalize. Also, when Cleveland Williams came out of hospital after having been shot and losing vital organs, it took him nearly a year to get to even look like a fighter again, having gone all the way down to 155 lbs from 215.

Not quite true. I met Floyd twice, the last time at the Mayweather/Mosley press conference in NY and Floyd is every bit of 5'8 and no more than 150. Sergio is 5'10 but his walk around weight is in the 180 neighborhood. According to Ariza and Roach Manny's weight goes up to 150-152, so Manny and Floyd are around the same size. Floyd's body is more defined evenly where Manny's weight is in his head and his legs. Sergio is much bigger than the 2 but a fight @ 154 is fair game.

Something definitely needs to be done. Boxing needs to get back on standard cable and radio as well. The powers that be should also set up low-cost or free gyms around the country, with equipment and trainers, for kids and teenagers. Boxing needs to become more accessible.
