Pavlik is delusional, in the last few years he's pulled out of one fight after another, lost the interest of fans and the TV execs that get him on the air. If he got paid 200 something grand for his last fight it's because it was on the undercard of a PPV that sold over a million buys, this fight was gonna be on SHObox clearly the budget isn't the same SHObox fighters don't get 6 figures there isn't a budget for that. They were trying to get him on TV in front of a big audience to try to get fans to give a **** about him again with the promise that if he beat some journeyman he'd have a guaranteed 7 figure payday. Many of his supporters in Youngstown won't see that much money in their lives. Pavlik isn't taking a stand for his career his flushing it down the toilet. This will probably be the only time I ever side with TopRank, Who's business practices I generally detest, but they stood by Kelly through all the fights he dropped out of and all his personal drama and they still manage to get his broken down ass a seven figure payday and he pulls this ****?!?! I hope they sit him on the shelf and I hope he sits himself on a barstool and stays there, good riddance!

Arum tells Manny one number, and then puts another number on the contract. Poor Manny can't read, so he just scrawls his X on whatever Bob presents to him. Sad, really.

Disagree. Not sure how one can consider wingspan in a debate regarding size? I'm not going to debate the characteristics of each fighter, because that has nothing to do with my initial point. Mayweather and Paqcuiao are definitely not more than 1 - 1 1/4 inches apart. That is far from a huge difference, and would not come close to making either one a "midget" in relation to the other. Now, I will readily admit that Mayweather is much stockier than Pacquiao.

Exactly. Promoters are all shady, but fighters still have to live up to their end. Pavlik has not done that here. It's sad, because I like Pavlik a lot. He needs to get his life in order.

It's comical that you think you are so tough over the internet. I'm sure in your mind, and from the comfort of your studio apartment in the hood, you are the toughest guy in the world. The reality is that you are simply a loser with a pathetic life.

Look punk Im in NY/NJ whenever your punk ass wanna come here, pick a gym. I dont usually call men out of their names but I know your a punk from your post cause a real man would respect another man's post so yes your a punk and a ***** for admitting your up Pacroid's ass. An admitted ******* and you think your educated? You stand for a man thats afraid of random testing? I wish I could block your punk ass cause I dont deal with people like you. My apologies to other posters cause I should've ignored this creep from the beginning.

Up to a week before the fight they had just sold ONLY 1000 tickets in his HOMETOWN. It was Arum who was guaranteeing the $50,000 out of his own pocket, because, considering all the other expenses , opponents, supporting fights, advertising etc, there would have to be a dead LOSS moneywise.

And he was coming back from not only a year long absense but a very traumatic year with several months in Alcohol rehab...That takes it out of a fighter, and he needed to build up agains slowly. Take more than one lower money fight before facing Bute, the Champ at a higher weight.

Floyd's a nobody if your looking for record numbers you're going to have to thank the Mexicans and the British. De la hoya on cinco DE mayo and midget lightweight Marquez on Mexican Independence day and now victor Ortiz on Mexican independence. And now Floyd bitc*weather is thinking about going to England for his next fight against khan because he knows he cannot fool the British to come over here for that fight. Floyd is a coward he could been fighting Martinez right now or months ago but he chose the safer money a young green Mexican on Mexican independence day. Floyd bitc*weather wants nothing to do with Sergio Martinez he's been scared of him since Martinez burst on to the scene. I will admit though that top rank is trying to keep pac away from Martinez because of the size and height difference but if I had to judge on heart I would bet my last penny that pacman would sign on the dotted line before bitc*weather. In my eyes bitc*weather is one of the biggest fraud cowards that Ive ever seen in boxing. And for the record there are only two real champions in each weight class the #1 and #2 guy and everybody knows that pacman is number one and cowardweather is number 2. Victor Ortiz is just borrowing the green belt right now but I'm hoping like hell that he beats the shi* out of maynever.

Pavliks trainer Jack Loew is the worst trainer in boxing ever Loew has no knowledge or ability to train and has ruined Pavlik. With idiots like Loew around no wonder pavlik is screwed up-get out of Youngstown and away from Loew to survive. Loew is like an anchor dragging pavlik down under to drown.

True Pavlik is a bit delusional and has been a drama queen in the past but TP made him that way. If he was use to getting the numbers he posted than 50k for a televised fight is wrong. Especially for a former champ coming off a decent win. AT the end of the day it's a business and Pavlik is on the downslide of his career where business is super important.

                    • Low pay, unemployment? Hmmmm. Life is full of hard choices. 50 grand or general relief? Kelly talks a good fight, standing up for his rights and all, I just hope he can live with the consequences. How can anybody headline him again? He has no fear of walking away at the last minute, no scruple about other people's money. That's right, other people. Remember them Kelly? The people working the show. Ticket sellers, peanut salesmen, referees, you know, the other guy.
