Why is Oscar so underated on here?

I'm not dis*****g that.
But you said it was his best 'performance'.
In which resulted in my shock considering Oscar performance was pretty poor against Quartey, again, one in which many, including myself felt he lost.
In actual reality, the Quartey fight is no where even remotely close to his best performance. Which is why I questioned it.Comment

first you dont outbox an opponent 9 rounds then deserve a nod.............he was scared and tired.............and he refused a rematch.............what a b1tch.............
Oscar wouldve been a b1tch if he had won..................he is a bigger b1tch he quitted against a cherrypicked midget.................with dundee and nacho in his corner.....................what a f@g.......
Nah dog, he outboxed Tito cleanly for about 9 rounds if you dont believe that then I know to stop even trying to debate with you because its clear that youre either delusional or a diehard Tito fan.
Go ahead go do some research go see what the overwhelming majority of boxing writers wrote about that fight and who they thought won the fight. I challenge you to find any respectable writer, sports journalist or boxing expert thats not puerto rican who believes Tito won that fight. At the very least Oscar won 8 rounds in that fight. Outboxed Tito cleanly, sure he got on his bicycle the last 3 rounds but you cant ignore the work he had put in in the other rounds. As for the rematch, Tito wanted alot of money and he wanted it at 154. I dont have to tell you that Oscar was the cash cow and that he was the draw in the fight so he wouldnt bend at what Tito wanted. Oscar wanted it at 147 and of course he wanted the bigger slice of the pie since he was the A side to the promotion who would carry the majority of the PPV audience.
On the PAC fight, yeah he quit. I never said he didnt. He cherry picked a smaller fighter that he thought he could just bully and KO and it came back to bite him in the a$$. He almost died trying to make the weight and was weighing in less than PAC on fight night. WTF? Think about that!Comment

Agree, although I like pacman. DLH and Pac fans are the worst to watch a fight with. Either fighters would blink and the crowd goess ****en nuts.
And I'm butthurt he got the decision against WhittakerComment

Because most of boxingscene's active userbase are people who only started watching boxing post-De La Hoya/Mayweather.
Therefore all they saw of Oscar was him being clearly outboxed by Floyd, picking on an undersized Steve Forbes, and quitting on his stool against Pacquiao.
Ontop of this, they boxrec him and see that he "lost" to Trinidad, and "lost" to Mosley both times, and assume he was mediocre.
Most of them have no idea whatsoever what a beast De La Hoya truly was during his day, how many world champions he defeated, or what his legacy actually is.Comment

It would have been great to see the 140 pound version of Oscar that fought Chavez against Pac and Floyd.Comment
