i only rooted for Oscar twice..the Olympics and the Vargas fight
I hear what you are saying and when I was an amateur, I was coming up at the same time as Oscar.

I actually fought in the same tourneys he did at times and I understand the hype around him.

I just don't get emotionally involved with him and don't have a personal opinion of him, I don't do that with anyone I don't know.

I just judge him on his talent and I'm telling you, he was something special in the boxing world. His speed, accuracy and power were amazing and watching him fight you know he was going to be something special.

I thought he beat Tito, Mosley II and lost to Sturm. Those decisions were backwards IMO. The boxing lesson he gave Tito alone was something to watch.

      I welcome any Oscar debate.

What conspiracy? B-hop became GBP weeks after the fight did he not?
So now you're gonna sit here and lie like a punk B*tch?

Last time we "debated" Oscar, you tried to bury my rep... Don't make me screen shot my User CP and really put you on blast.

Who the **** lies about something simple like this on a boxing site like how you're doing. Jrosales = FAIL!

Bit off topic but if you have Jro on ignore why do you still read / respond to his posts ?, never got why people do that.

there are things that separate good athletes from great athletes. one of those things is the will to overcome adversity. those moments where few and far between for Oscar.

Funny thing is, there are moments in his career where he had the chance to show exactly that, but for some reason or another we never got that, aside from that awesome fight vs fernando. i know he had it in him, but for some reason or another, he never dug that deep.

i actually think the fame might of done him in in regard to that. Maybe being the the Golden Boy ****ed with his fighter mentality, so he just didn't bother.

            who knows.

one can't help but think how different things would have been if he forgot he was the golden boy and remembered he was a fighter. with his resume........ ****. probably top 5 all time.

              I understand why you're asking.

I'll debate anyone, but when you're trolling that's one thing. I can ignore that. But to troll and try to follow someone around Red K'ing that = ignore list.

But I'm done with that dude, no more responding out of me to him. Next topic.

yeah, I too feel he's underrated...

He was involved in a lot of closer fights, sometimes he got the gift (Sturm) and sometimes he got unlucky (mosley II IMO). But two losses really stood out for me...the Bhop body shot KO and the pacman beating. I think maybe because of how good he really was, people expected more in the closer fights and the "superfight" losses at the end of his career. He seems to be inconsistent, although I feel he did fight anyone and everyone.
