I don't know how he became so popular. His best win was Fernando Vargas. He spent most of his career chasing Felix Trinidad's leftovers.

Everyone bitches about the Trinidad loss, but turn a blind eye to Oscar's gift decisions. Had Oscar won that fight his best win would have been a fight where he ran for 4 rounds with his tail between his fishnet stockings.

It's easy to look good against Oba Carr, Fernando Vargas, and Ricardo Mayorga after Tito knocked them the fuck out and softened them up for you.

Then you ducked Tito when he wanted to fight you at 154. Why? Same reason he ran from him in the first fight. Because he was scared shitless of Tito's awesome power. Everyone remember where he clinched Tito for dear life and wouldn't let go and had the crowd booing that shit out of him?

The only time Tito chased one of Oscar's left overs was Whitaker and that wasn't even a left over because that fight could have went either way, unlike Tito's fight with Whitaker where Tito beat him very decisively.

Agreed.

I say the same thing. I think he won the Trinidad/Mosley II fights, but really lost the whitaker/Sturm fights. I guess it evens itself out..

But, IMO, he fought the best throughout his career from 92-2008.

The main argument on NSB against ODLH is he fought people past their prime (i.e Chavez). I think that's BS. I've seen fighters be called over the hill but still have great wins. People said Mosley was over the hill before he fought/beat Margarito, but look what happen. Unless we have a "past their prime" meter, I don't agree with that statement. If fighter x beats ODLH then ODLH goes on their resume. But if ODLH beats fighter x, then fighter x was past their prime.

In summary, a prime ODLH was a beast. How do I know this? Because I use to root against the guy all the time and I couldn't stand him when he was at his peak. I tend to do that when fighters are to good lol Just like I do the same to Duke basketball. ODLH future HOF'er.

Very good but not great.

I personally was never a fan because of the way he fought. Trying to steal rounds by throwing flurries in the last 10 seconds. Hitting air against Whitaker but still celebrating. Running backwards against Angel Gonzalez after building up a big lead.

His effort against Floyd was just irritating.

I was never a fan. But i appreciate what he did.
