Oscar was a good fighter, a HOF level fighter, but not an ATG level fighter.

      And that's that.

I think people hate on him because they are a little jealous of Oscar, it's weird. Whenever they see a young, good looking kid do well, they want to see him fail, it's human nature.

He may not be on the all time list but I definitely think he is one of the best boxers of our time and propelled boxing to the main stream with his looks and personality.

i dont know if you already moved away from socal when he was first coming up but the over exposure, shove-down-your-thoat promotional blitz turned this fight fan off...

then the Ruelas (big Rafa fan) happened and i disliked him even more...after then the 2nd JCC fight i just hated the **** out of him

i only rooted for Oscar twice..the Olympics and the Vargas fight

No shame but he barely barely barely got by Ike Quartay...if it wasnt for that last rd KD!! I liked ODLH but he lost his most significant fights...too much money and stardom got to him IMO!!

Dudes one of the greatest, honestly I don't think any boxer NOW in the welterweight division could beat the Oscar from 96-04. Also he won 6 Titles in 6 different weight classes that unlike Pacquiao were not cheap catch-weight fights. He also beat 17 world champions.

If you did you would rate him correctly. Calling him an ATG, makes me think that you weren't really following it back then.

Wait is this LarryX? Because, if so that would explain your comment

                      But there's a difference...

Floyd fought the "over the hill" Mosley that beat Margarito and the "over the hill" ODLH that beat Mayorga.

I don't think Mosley or ODLH were coming off wins when they faced Manny.

My point is, it's not so much an "over the hill" thing with Manny. It's more of a fighter not having confidence since they're coming off a loss.
