Why is Oscar so underated on here?

Because he is overrated everywhere else.

Don't get me wrong De la Hoya was a very good fighter but dude was a little overrated. If people could learn to separate popularity from actual ability then many fighters would be looked at in a different light.

Maybe because he lost many of the big fights he's been in. I must state though that I felt he beat Tito and I myself am Puerto Rican. By the 10th round, he already had 7rnds in the bag. Just because he chose not to fight the last 3rnds doesnt take away from what he had already done. As for Sturm, Oscar lost that fight!!!

Here we go with this "Oscar lost the big ones" bullcrap...he won the ones that mattered most obviously. He wasn't such a big attraction for his great ability to lose...idiot!

Oscar was a GREAT fighter, definitely HOF material. His boxing was superb and he was the face of boxing for his time.

I think people hate on him because they are a little jealous of Oscar, it's weird. Whenever they see a young, good looking kid do well, they want to see him fail, it's human nature.

He may not be on the all time list but I definitely think he is one of the best boxers of our time and propelled boxing to the main stream with his looks and personality.
