As someone who lives in the UK, you should realise that that in the UK there are far more people belonging to the nation of islam than in the US. People object to ******s because of double standards in the UK and the fact that we *****-foot around ethnic **********. Laws in the UK exacerbate racism. I don't claim to know that much about the US, but I'm sure their laws regarding issues about race are not as *******. It angers many people that those belonging to Islam play the race card for many issues regarding race.
The USA seems more diverse on a whole.
Not sure what you mean by double standards though.
***** was elected as President in the USA, what chance is there of a similar thing happening it the UK.
Even if you watch football, you still today hear the comentators talking about foreign footballer like they are not tough enough or have the that true English grit.
Ofcourse there is racism in the US too, but it does not filter down in their media sports coverage and a sport star is star.Comment

It's probably about the same as a number, but there are 300 million people in the USA and only 60 million in the UK.

Lmao he is as RIGHT wing as you can get, you cant be serious! He is a plague to democracy in the uk, he pretty much decides who gets elected. He went from supporting the labour party to the conservative party, hence they got elected.Comment

Anyway, I think this thread has gone a little of the rail. We are arguing about UK politics and media giants. I will repreat my view - Khan is a great fighter who should not be hated due to race.Last edited by stefl14; 07-28-2011, 04:40 PM.Comment

Ok, here..am from the south born and bred..I support him after the quarter-finals at the olympics and when he won the silver, for him to be the only boxer from the UK to do that warm my heart, Then the media machine actually went overdrive then i found myself disliking him with all the reported car crash or whatnot..
But since getting KO he seem to have grown up, move his career to america to train and that has made me respect him even more now, before i wouldnt even be in a Khan thread but now i found himself defending especially after i heard how much racism he suffered in the north in his own country, How he was racially abused while him and his family were at a boxing arena to support his younger brother haruna...
And now i found myself liking him even more with Timothy bradley shameless ducking of him..Comment

If people turn on channel 1 now they will see the type of people who put English people to shame. These are the type of people who explicitly broadcast negative, often racist views. They make people think all English people are the same.Comment

Tell me about it. It's entertaining to watch these things but these are the sort of people that just piss me off so much I want to kill them. Listen to their foul mouths! Added to the issue they look like dogs lmao. Listen to these girls saying proudly that they punch their parents in their face and break their nose/jaw.Comment
