If you ask a racist white person why they hate Pakistanis or foreigners in general, you'll usually get a reply like " they take our jobs, get loads of benefits, don't respect our country ", which in some cases is true, but Amir Khan was born here, gets punched in the face for his money and wears the British flag on his shorts, what more do they want?
Thats because the media is polluting the minds of the UK population. I mean if "THE SUN" newspaper is the most popular paper in uk, then that says it all really. It's as bad as Fox news in america, a total joke and extremely bias. All you see in the media these days is "****** terorists" and every1 knows khan is a ******, hence he gets alot of unfair hatred. I live 1 hour away from khan. I been to his gym a few times and met him he is a great guy, not arrogant at all like most say. He has alot of confidence in himself just like most other successful boxers in the past and at present.

This is one of the reasons why I'm not too keen on going to a Khan fight when he is fighting in Manchester. If he fights in London, I will be there.

The problem is not just different regions of the UK but the UK in general, People forget that the "UK" is no more a country than the equator its a political neologism to describe the forceful and artificial amalgamation of various ethnic groups of Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. There is no such thing as being "British" you are either English , Scottish, Welsh or Irish, Or a minority.

The "UK" has failed miserably to inculcate a "national" identity, The USA for instance you can be African American, ***ish American, ****** American, or even Italian American but your still an American. That is not true for the UK, The reason why the UK has failed to create a national identity is because of English dominance and an overbearing monarchy.

You will find that the UK will be more tolerant a society the day it becomes a republic and gets rid of its German monarchy. That alone is not enough I feel the UK needs to be detoxed just like Germany was De-****fied. Another problem is that the UK has not come to terms with its utterly diminished importance in international affairs. The USS Enterprise and the USS Nimitz not Britannia now rules the waves.

This is a boxing forum, not a politics forum. With that said, you seem to be of the opinion that English people and the monarchy are responsible for islamophobia which is quite frankly wrong. It is Islam extremists who isolate themselves from society and only interact with those who belong to their culture. I strongly object to the view that white people are the only ones unwilling to accept those who do not belong to their culture into society. People are too quick to play the race card and blame the white people but it is important to consider the racist views which are often held by those belonging to ethnic **********. These are often ignored due to *******ism and tolerant Western societies.

In my opinion, racism is no more pronounced among whites today than any other race. Only whites cling to the idea of universalism, everyone else sticks to their own ethnic groups. It is pretty much a state sponsored ideology to celebrate diversity in white western nations. The only reason whites are considered racist by many is because those belonging to other cultures don't broadcast their views so explicitly.

Khan is down to earth and is by no means a hype-job. Mancunians are often racist and their behavior is sometimes disgusting. You should put these mother****ers in their place!

                Same bloke runs them both.

America is a lot more welcoming place less hung up about race and religion, (when it comes to Khan) than the UK.

It is embrassing how Khan is treated and talked about by some sections of British society.

As someone who lives in the UK, you should realise that that in the UK there are far more people belonging to the nation of islam than in the US. People object to ******s because of double standards in the UK and the fact that we *****-foot around ethnic **********. Laws in the UK exacerbate racism. I don't claim to know that much about the US, but I'm sure their laws regarding issues about race are not as *******. It angers many people that those belonging to Islam play the race card for many issues regarding race.

Murdoch is left wing. If the papers distort the public's views towards racism it isn't his fault.
