THAT is not a reason to discount them all together. lol
I'm not discounting them, I just know they are used for, and that not always to hit the opponents, head or body, thus why they they can give a false reading for the total punch connects that compubox gives.

Pacquiao throw more punches and is a combination puncher, both these things redcue accuracy. On top of this Pacquiao is a harder puncher and throws harder puncher, another thing that will effect accuracy.

We also have to forget about the jab as the jab is use to open a defence and find range, so it can be used effectively even though it is not landing.

Pacquiao also lands his punches right on the button, **** on the chin, Mayweather punches are more scoring punches.

Pacquiao landed an astonishing 50% of his power punches against Mosley while Mayweather landed an impresiive 46%, still 4 % less than Pacquiao. And Mosley was in defensive mode when facing Pacquiao and Pacquiao was throwing more punches than Mayweather.

      Pacquiao vs Mosley

      177 / 353: 50%

      Mayweather Mosley

      123 / 267: 46%

      Pacquiao vs Margarito

      411 / 713: 58%

      Mayweather Marquez

      105 / 177: 59%

      Pacquiao vs Clottey

      232 / 682: 34%

      Mayweather vs Hatton

      257/100: 39%

      Pacquiao vs Cotto

      276 / 560: 49%

      Mayweather vs De La Hoya

      241/138: 57%

      http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1149806

      Pacquiao vs Hatton

      65 / 105: 62%

      Mayweather vs Baldomir

      258/131: 51%

      Pacquiao vs De la Hoya

      195 / 333: 59%

      Mayweather vs Judah

      145/295 49%

A near-riot in the closing seconds of the 10th round only delayed the inevitable: A dominant Floyd Mayweather Jr. victory.

So what is there 6 fight average?

      Pacquiao 52%

      Mayweather 50.2%

There you have it the stats back up my theory and add to this Pacquiao throws more, hits harder and throws more combinations and higher punch combinations, you would have to agree Pacquiao is the more accurate puncher.
      Correct!

Fights aren't decided on compubox, be it jabs, power punches, or total connects.

Exactly! This thread is very bias and seems to be only held on grounds to discredit fighters that are more boxers than punchers.

I think they should only count boxers who take random blood tests before fights so that fighters that don't, do not go into the hall of fame.

          Could you imagine. lol

No they don't why should the fighter that uses the jab as an offensive tool be punished because others use it differently? Fighters feint with power punches too, use them to hit arms, the guard to open up chances just like the jab.

It took it's toll, but Pacquiao fought Cotto at the first available opportunity, Floyd retired when that opportunity arose.

Hmmm what is Floyd planning now that Maritnez and Pacquiao are knocking at the door.

What you see below will give you a big hint on who's the more accurate/brutal puncher

I've discounted them for both fighters.

Floyd has biggest Punch stat disparity in boxing history from his accuracy and punches landed against him so try again.
....pacquiao barely jabs, let's say out of 1000 punches thrown is 600 power punches. Unless ur last name is Clottey you won't get tag by Pacquiao.
