Honestly that wasn't the same miranda, that was the 160lb miranda, his power at that weight was crazy and he was extremely fast. Once he moved to smw and lhw, his power was gone as well as his speed. I know, I'm one of the biggest miranda fans on this board

Ok, but until he does, fighters like Mendy, Johnson, and McGee won't cut it. Andre Ward agrees with this.

I understand what Bute says he wants to do, but he should've made the Cloud fight happen. That was perfect.

Pascal and Bhop wanted to fight him too if I'm not mistaken

In b4 "But Pascal and Bhop fight at 175". As if fights like Bhop and Tarver were never made when there were weight class differences.

I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Dirrel, Kessler or a cloud at light heavy...

I dont' think he deserves the right to challenge the winner of the SS, only for him to possibly land a lucky punch and walah, he gets all this credit for being this great champ.

Bute needs to bring something to the table before he jumps straight to a high class championship fight.....
Meh if Bute lands the lucky punch he does...
Anthony Dirrel is the number 1 contender for the WBC so i doubt he'd fight Bute
Andre Dirrel would probably love a shot at Bute and I think he'd school him

Either Dirrel brother vs Bute would be a good matchup.

Mendy was undefeated, and a mandatory so it's not like Bute could avoid him (as I'm sure everyone here would be claiming Bute ducked him).

Cloud wouldn't budge as far as negotiations were concerned, wanting the 173 lb catchweight- How is that a catchweight? Cloud only drops 2 lbs lol.

                  Now I know you're a boxrec geeny...

Did you see the Bika vs Mendy fight that took place right before Mendy fought Bute; or did you just look at boxrec?

Bika destroyed Mendy in the first round. Mendy was done either way, but was bailed out because Bika hit him while he was on a knee or something like that. If you saw the fight, you would know this.

Bute still resorted to fighting Mendy even though Bika destroyed him in 1 round, one fight prior.

Regarding Cloud, a catchweight is a catchweight. If bute really wanted to prove himself, he would've made the fight happen. Instead of realizing this, you choose to resort to "what ifs".

I knew all of that, so what, was Bute supposed to fight Bika (the loser) again? GTFO with that. I'm sure you'd have cried over that, too.

A catchweight is a catchweight when it benefits both fighters, not just one. Cloud's catchweight offer was almost as bad as Pac's to Marquez.

Man, Bute can do no wrong and has done no wrong in your book.

This isn't even worth debating anymore.

If you think Mendy, Johnson, and McGee are worthy competitors as oppose to what he could've faced, so be it.
