Bute's Lackluster Opponents vs Andre Ward's Rough Schedule

I don't want to sound biased, but regarding Ward/Bute's road to the title, I want to address two things:

    1. When will Bute finally fight a real prospect. I have to give it to him for taking the easy road to fighting the winner of the Super Six Tourny. Thus far, Bute has fought:

    a.)A beat up Miranda[LIST]

b.) Over the hill William Joppy

c.)Mendy coming off a 1st round KO loss to Bika

Bute's body hasn't taken any real damage thus far. Basically, he's stood in the background and let the Super Six competitors tear each other a part. When will Bute finally step up and stop taking the easy road?

    2. If Andre Ward beats Froch, Bute, Dawson, Hopkins, and Cloud; how would you rate him as an ATG at 168lbs? Personally if he does, I'll put him at 2nd all time behind Roy.......

I think Bute is a very good fighter regardless of his crappy resume.

I'm not impressed with either of their resumes. But, I will say this: Bute literally destroys his opponents while Ward fights to not fight for a decision victory.

The fact is that Bute has not fought or beaten anyone who would be good enough to compete in the Super Six tournament. The worst fighter in the Super 6, Allen Green, is better than any opponent that Bute has fought. Unfortunately, that trend will continue. Bute will continue to pull a Ricky Hatton as long as he can continue to draw huge crowds in his hometown. Until he became arrogant enough to think that he could run with the big dogs, Hatton did nothing but fight stiffs in front of his hometown crowd. Bute will not fight the winner of the Super 6 tournament or anyone who has fought in the Super 6 anytime soon. His handlers know that, if he does, he will be exposed as another Ricky Hatton, and they won't allow that.

its not too difficult to destroy a bunch of no hopers with lackluster chins.

Really? It's one thing to downgrade a fighter level of comp. But, lets not over do it FFS's.

I am openminded enought to admit that I am wrong if you can make a legitimate argument. My argument is based on the following. Bute refused to enter the Super 6. Bute hasn't fought or beaten anyone the tournament sponsors considered to be among the top 168-pounders.

Bute could have easily set up a fight with Allen Green, Andre Dirrell or Arthur Abraham, all of whom were out of the tournament instead of the no-hoper he just beat, but he chose not to. For that matter, he could have set up a fight with the 60-year Bernard Hopkins. There was talk of him fighting Kessler, but I think that fight has fallen by the wayside also. When you choose to fight stiffs, instead of quality contenders who are available, that tells fans something about the fighter or what his handlers think of the fighter.
