I still have them on file.

And THAT is NOT what HE said, and this was in the very first week AFTER the fight. You may be thinking of a different fight, and/or a different cutman.
    it's in a german newspaper from june, 25th 2011: http://www.abendblatt.de/sport/artic...kt-Wunder.html

these are the original words (i don't know where your are from so i don't know wether you understand german or not. if not i'll translate it):

    interviewer:

What uppercut are you talking about. At the very end of a rd Klitschko walked Lewis right across the ring holding close whilst Lewis was VERY ineffectively trying to uppercut him, with no power because both arms were locked. To a judge this means nothing. The rest of the rd Klitschko was dominating, ahd just played out the last few seconds whilst Lewis was in desperation trying to land something.

Someone clearly hasn't watched that fight unsurprisingly.

The (ex) Haye fans have licked their wounds for a couple of weeks, and have now disowned Haye, and looking around for an alternative to promote against the K-Bros, have jumped on the Lennox Lewis train.

As Lewis isn't around to fight and get his ass kicked by the K-Bros anymore, they figure he is safe.

It's a very funny phenomenon, really.

Vitali IS SO PSYCOLOGICALLY intimidating with his size & strength that other fighters don't want to be overpowered coming in much lighter than him. That's the real reason they DON'T shed those lbs. Vitali is so big physically that he intimidates other fighters.. I guarantee you Lennox gaINED 5 to 10 lbs right after he found out who is opponent was 2 weeks before the fight. It was a strategic move to be bigger & Vitali never got credit for it.. instead he got discredited because LENNOX was at his highest weight of his career.. ever stop & think that he was facing the most physically imposing opponent of his career.........
That point was discussed in his pre-fight talk I believe, about that he might feel he should come in a bit heavier since Klitscho was so big. hat may have been in the interview where he said that he always said he's have "one Klitschko for breakfast and the other for lunch, but as someone has already taken his breakfast he's going to have the other one for lunch.

Also that Klitschko had never fought anyone like him, a "pugilist specialist" Lewis called himself. Not swelled-headed at all, was he??

              Does ANYONE remember this.....eh???

There's one stat where Lennox will always beat Vitali!

                Lewis 2, Vitali O.

Lewis lost, anyone with half a ****ing iota of a brain knows this. The cut was caused by a blatantly illegal hold and punch. This is boxing not mma garbage. There was a bad ref in there that night and he made a horrible mistake.

People who say Lewis beat Vitali ko6 and crap...well Paul Williams defeated Lara last saturday, end of that story, Punisher is back.

Sometimes you have to use your head and eyes and stop being a slave to ******ation.

                      yeah, i remember that.

                      like i asked, though...

how many times was vitali laid out cold?

let's compare those numbers. but, nah... freak cuts are just part of a boxer's repertoire, and lewis was training to win that way ya know. .

edit - guys, lewis won - on the official record. no dis*****g that. we know a cut like that happens once a decade or so, and lewis didn't exactly win in any shred of a convincing manner. but let's not say vitali won - though i think he would have if not for the freak cut.

there are two ways to view a fight: by loking at the outcome, and by observing and judging the contents of the bout. any even minded person with an understanding of boxing knows that lewis had trouble, to say the least, with vitali... who was also ill-prepared.

btw, who do you guys think had to make the bigger adjustment? lennox who was already fighting what was then a highly ranked heavyweight contender? or vitali who fought the heavyweight champ on short notice?
