No. Williams has potential to be still I think. If his chin isn't broken, he still has the length and style to beat a lot of good fighters.

If he cleans out the 154lbs. division will he then deserve HOF consideration?

I've seen a thousand Paul Williams' come and go.
I agree with this. If he sticks around 154 though and his chin is still intact, I don't really see anyone who can beat him.

Pwill needs to be fighting at 160lb to 168lb tbh,he is very big and won't get the fights he should get at lower weights..Maybe at 154lb and even then I believe a lot of fighters will duck him..Simply put he must move up to get those grand fights,160lb has Andy Lee and Martinez..168lb has AA Pav Froch Bute Ward Dirrell etc etc..You see he must move up,forget about Floyd and Pac dude ya like 6'7 lol..

I don't think so,there really is nobody fighting at that weight..He should move up to 160lb then to 168lb..Now we're talking HOF career..

              Really? Like who.

Hes a rare breed. A 6-4, 147,154,160 Pound southpaw who fights to entertain, doesnt duck anybody, doesnt run, and will fight God if he had too?

Naw Iron I only seen one.

I don't think he's big enough to fight at those weights effectively. Remember that he asked Sergio for a catch weight in their last fight. He's tall but he has a slim frame.

Dont be ******. He'd get eaten alive at 168. Sergio already chased him out of 160.

Anyone remember when Donald Curry beat Marlon Starling? And people were saying he could beat anyone?

Had a nice title reign, would fight anyone.

Then he got battered by Honeyghan, crushed by McCallum, upset by Jacquot?

                      Curry was a talented, throwback fighter. He fought;

Honeyghan, Starling x2, Norris, Nunn, McCallum etc etc.

Ask the average fan who Donald Curry is; They don't know. They may have heard about him but they don't know him.

And Curry was better and fought better fighters than Paul Williams.

The 50's and 60's and even before then literally saw millions of 'Paul Williams' type fighters. I'm not talking about his size or style I'm simply taking a fighter who has the potential to be something and he didn't reach that and is forgotten many years later. Wrongly forgotten, these fighters deserve to be remembered.

Look at Kid Cocoa, Pone Kingpetch, Gaspar Ortega, Chalkey Wright, these fighters are HOF'ers! Or atleast should be. Ask NSB to tell you about them; They don't know them.

You would have to be very misinformed to think Paul Williams is one of a kind. He isn't.
