I've compared his record to Cotto's before, but the downfall for Williams is that he fluctuated through different weight divisions and didnt have reigns like all HOF boxers do. It's not that he hasnt beat top competition, but I don't think Williams is in the sport to be great or a Hall of Famer. I think him and his team are in it completely for the money based on the decisions they've made.

    Right now it's a no.

      he definitely had POTENTIAL....
IMO, his loss to sergio is not a career-ender. but if he plans to fight 2-3 more times then retire, then NO WAY is he a HOF'er... depends on opponent choice & performance....

the kid is still young and can come back, but it seams sergio REALLY took p-will's heart & confidence.

      my p-will wishlist:
      • angulo @ 154
      • cotto @ 154
      • margs rematch @ 154
      • berto @ 147

victories over those guys would give him a better case for HOF

Plus, I'd say the Cintron was a good win, if I didn't think Cintron was winning the fight until he skydived out of the ring.

I'd like to see from him

        Quintana 3
        Martinez 3
        Cintron 2
        Martioysan (Sp?)
        Angulo
        Pirog
        Sturm
        Geale

If his 3-4 fights include those fights, I'd revisit this question and see if he can get into the HoVG
He beat Winky Wright as well.

Kind of an odd time for this poll.

I wouldn't say he is there quite yet, but I think he is on his way. Coming off a crushing KO loss, I am hoping he still has his confidence. His next opponent is an excellent test for the Punisher's return, I hope he is back on track.

Winky was coming off a two year inactive status, which was caused by a thorough ass whupping from Bernard Hopkins. You have to go back to like 04-05 when he beat up an inactive and fat Felix Trinidad for his last 'good' win

So I don't consider that a good win, just an ok win against a faded name.

Personally, I think Paul should just stay at 154lbs. and try to clean that division out. There are good fights for him there: Alvarez, Martirosiyan, Cotto, Angulo, etc.

he will have to avenge his loss to sergio before we can even consider TO consider him a hof worthy.
