I'm pretty sure he has not put on that weight in hopes to land a big fight with either of the biggest stars in the sport..If he wanted to fill out in the higher weights I believe he could do it..Comment

I don't think so,I believe he could be competitive at 160lb and 168lb..He might lose here or there but he might lose at 154lb as well..I never thought Pwill was that great a boxer he could not be defeated..He still has fights with Pav and AA if he get's by either I would not mind seeing him fight Johnson Dirrell or Kessler..Andy Lee would be a great fight at 160lb I really want to see him fight Martinez again tbh..
Point is if Pwill wants to be a HOF fighter he needs fights like those mentioned..Vanes Cotto Alvarez JCC Jr etc etc really don't do much for him at Jr MW..His best fights at the weight would be Cintron Kirkland orAngulo, all who I don't believe at this point would fight Pwilly..His best bet is to take the tough road and go threw MW on to SMW..Comment

That's the guy.
He was a great fighter, still not been inducted into the HOF which is quite frankly outright tragic.
Beat Holman Williams 8 times, beat Eddie Booker, fought to a draw with Charley Burley. And would fight everyone and anyone.
Also dropped Ray Robinson in sparring.
And the average Boxing fan has no idea who he is. Which is what I was getting at with Paul Williams who lets be honest, will never, ever, be considering as close to as great as Cocoa Kid was.
I made a thread about him in the History Section. By all means go and check it out. And vote for it to win the 2 Billion points competition

They only let in 3 per year, so its hard to imagine a scenario that he makes it on his resume so far. But his career is not over and WTF Kosta Tszu made it!Comment

In order for him to be a HOF'er, the elite fighters had to have fought him. Cotto, Mayweather, Mosely at 147 lbs didnt fight him. Williams didnt get the cream of the crop at 154lbs until Martinez. A Pavlik win could have been a good one to have on a resume....
If he fought those guys and beat most of them, I think, at least from today's standpoint, he could possibly be in the conversation one day.
In order for him to make it as of today, he has to win a title and DEFEND it. Big names would come with defenses. Cotto, Margarito, Angulo, Lattimore, Martinez, ect are all fighters Williams can beat in a defense IMO. Thats what made B-Hop great. His resume was pretty good but his 20 defenses is what shined bright..
I dont buy the Williams' retiring story. If Williams fights the best opponents from now on and wins a title and successfully defends it, it may not be impossible for him to do it..Comment
