He'd have to fight them 1st.I'll put it simply, when U think of them fighting,it's easy to see that it isn't the Punisher that backs away.

Williams is a good boxer but not close to a hall of famer. He just hasn't had those marquee fights yet.

if he focused on one division, he could have probably already at least been able to make a case.

he has a pretty solid resume over the last 5 years. it really depends on how he looks against lara and who he fights in his final 2-3 fights. if he can pick up another belt at 54 or 60...i say yes.

i don't discredit any of the top welterweights for not fighting him as i don't think he ever belonged in that division to begin with. the reason i say that is because in 41 fights, he's only weighed 147 or below in 8 of them and began his career as a middleweight.

he would have to do some really impressive things to be first-ballot though

These next 3 fights will determine that.

I agree he really hasn't had elite level competition available to him, which really isn't his fault.

Very very good fighter, not sure about HOF at the moment, but I dont think he gets the props he deserves. He was a little unfortunate to have run into Sergio when he was in the absolute form of his career. I like Paul, he seems like a pretty honest sort of fighter and maybe he hasnt gotten the breaks he should have got over the years.

If he can overcome Lara and put together another succesful run and bag another title, then I would have no problem with his induction. Overcoming a devastating KO loss such as the Martinez one isnt going to be easy, it wouldnt be for any fighter, but if he can do it and gain some more success then that will be pretty impressive.

Pwill needs to be fighting at 160lb to 168lb tbh,he is very big and won't get the fights he should get at lower weights..Maybe at 154lb and even then I believe a lot of fighters will duck him..Simply put he must move up to get those grand fights,160lb has Andy Lee and Martinez..168lb has AA Pav Froch Bute Ward Dirrell etc etc..You see he must move up,forget about Floyd and Pac dude ya like 6'7 lol..

He'll get into the HOG, the Hall of Good. His best wins are a disputed win over Martinez and Margarito. He did beat Quintana, but I think that fight was an aberration and not the norm, because he took a 12 round clinic from Quintana initially. Plus, I'd say the Cintron was a good win, if I didn't think Cintron was winning the fight until he skydived out of the ring.

I'd like to see from him

                      Quintana 3
                      Martinez 3
                      Cintron 2
                      Martioysan (Sp?)
                      Angulo
                      Pirog
                      Sturm
                      Geale

If his 3-4 fights include those fights, I'd revisit this question and see if he can get into the HoVG
