Ive met Oscar mind you it was several years ago and he wast in fight shape. However Im talking about same size in general. Height and reach. How wide the guys is or skinny his arms wouldnt really play a role in the fight imo. Thats all I was saying. I didnt mean build or frame.

the point of the questions i that there will be a big size difference on fightnight. if floyd comes in at 152 and sergio at 165. sergio will be close enough to more athletic than floyd and so much bigger, floyd will have a definitely problem.

Oh dont get me wrong Sergio will have the size advantage. But how athletic he looked against guys like Williams and Pavlik wont mean much against a guy liek Floyd is all Im saying. I get your point now though.

I agree Oscar is a rather weak fighter at 154 or 160. I just never got the sense from watching his fights with Paul, Cintron, Pav, etc. I could be wrong but I agree hes more powerful and stronger than Oscar.

With the jab I dissagree. Its a punch he rather not throw but will throw if he has to. Against a guy like Dinziruk who doesnt have head movement or footspeed. It made his jab look lke Winky Wrights. Mayweather will be a different beast as Oscar found out. He had sucess early with the jab but once Floyd started tming Oscar his jab was pretty much useless.

See I think Martinez would be moving away and trying to outbox Floyd and set him up. See I dont think Martinez would fight Floyd real aggressively so that Lions den would be more like a daycare center with Sergios hands down throwing jabs from his hip. Zab was catching Floyd because he was much faster than Mayweather. I always thought P4P Judah was one of the fastest fighters I have ever seen. Martinez wont have the luxury of being faster than Mayweater in my opniion. You make some great points. One I didnt think off is the fact that youre right Martinez will be there for 12 rounds with all his wind.

Do not use the Oscar fight as some sort of barometer. Oscar has a strong jab but he isn't a southpaw and his stamina doesn't compare to Martinez'. Martinez wouldn't need to fight aggressively against Floyd because Floyd would have to try and come inside. And while Zab was able to catch Mayweather because he was faster than Floyd...guess what? Floyd was able to catch Zab even though he was slower! Timing and, like Floyd, Martinez is damn good at that. Floyd playing the role of aggressor would leave him open for well-timed punches. And the power behind him would leave him cautious. What a precarious position to be in! And unlike a Zab or Oscar, Martinez won't fold. Rough, rough night for Floyd against a naturally bigger, more powerful, skilled, fast lefty boxer.

why would sergio back off from floyd? sergio wouldn't fight agrgressively agains a smaller guy that most likely can't hurt him????? i really don't get it. floyd will be able to do what to get to the body? catch sergio while he's running away then?

Floyd can be timed youre right. Fat Marquez timed him a few times. But outside of that I think Floyd will prove that he was much to hard hit flush consistently and that his accuracy was too precise. Hey like I said Martinez best chances are during the early rounds but after Floyd gets his patter down h will adjust whether that means coming forward, potshotting, taking it inside, etc He can adjust to whatever Martinez has.

Sergio is far more active - could def see that happening.
