It may sound racist or intolerant or even prejudice, and for that I apologize (as that is not my intention); however, it's time for the promoters to stop taking advantage of our passion/pastime by trying to fool us into buying a fight by simply putting a Latino fighter on the card. Especially when one fighter is reported to make $40 million and the Hispanic fighter is reported to only make about $2 million... I will not be contributing to that. Those of you who feel the same way, join me! Those of you who don't, don't.
    I hold the opposite view...

I see this is an a opportunity for Ortiz; a win/win situation. Everyone wants a shot at May/Pac and he got it. If Ortiz pulls off the upset and wins, he becomes an instant draw, gets a lucrative shot at Pac and will become the posterboy for success. If he loses, he still gains worlwide exposure, experience against arguably the pound for pound best, plus few will discredit him for a loss against mayweather; not to mention he becomes a millionaire. This is one of the best things that could have happened to him...

This fight will be good. Floyd has had a long layoff. I think he will be toughly tested, might even get knocked down. Which is fine by me as I like to see him on the offense.

You just turned me into a Top Rank fan. Can't believe I've been rooting for GBP all this time. I'm a dummy.

Mexicans take advantage of America all the time. We have over 50 million of your wetbacks mowing our lawns, painting our houses, and pretending that Mexico has a better football team than the U.S.

$40 million is a small price to pay for what America has already given you.

You guys say the same **** every time. And then Floyd does 1.4M against Mosley. And then Pac manages to still pull in 1.3M against an even shotter, more faded version of Mosley.

We have the Mexicans hooked. Mow 20 lawns, watch one PPV.

So you would rather Ortiz fight a bum for much less money than what he is getting now?

Good luck with your crusade lol

Manny v Mosley 1.3 mil would be impressive if not for the fact CBS was involved and Manny is the most popular fighter in boxing( according to most of the main****** media).

Top Rank expected to sell more PPv's than GBP did using the same fighter. They failed. But 1.3 mil is very impressive.

It has to be the most promoted ever- no one (outside of boxing fans) knows or cares who Victor Ortiz is. That's why they're biting Top Rank's idea to broadcast the reality show on HBO's partner networks and are trying to put Canelo on the card to draw in Mexican fans.

This one needs all the help it can get. 900K-1 mil buys tops with all the extra promotions. Would've done 800K otherwise.
