Mayweather is probably going to "LEAD RIGHT" him TO DEATH

Ortiz has a PUNCHERS CHANCE, if he doesn't get Mayweather out of their by rounds 3-4 then it is going to be a............LONG NIGHT for him and Mayweather will put on yet another BOXING CLINIC!

Floyd doesn't have the legs like he used to. We saw that in the Mosley fight. So he needs to keep pressuring, pressuring, pressuring and be able to take all of Mayweathers punches (which i think he could handle) and try to land the big shot and do keep throwing. if he sits and trys to box, then he is ******ed.

The difference there is, Oscar has an excellent left jab and used it throughout his career unlike Ortiz.

My only concern is if it not consistent enough or if he doesnt double it or shoot something with it at times FMJ will start pullcounters on it.
that's why I said in my analysis he has to hook off the jab to get inside if he pullscounter right hands it. The hook will catch him or at least get him to think by that time Ortiz is on his way in.

          Don't you agree?
I agree if he wants to win he will have to learn how to jab. The problem is; he's not going to.

That's a good question; How will Ortiz break up his timing? The answer is; He won't.

You don't needs get's against a guy who doesn't use them either. Floyds still got wheels. he has a maniac work ethic and does allot of road work.

To much ineffective pressure will gas you out. Floyd fight's calm and is always saving energy So you have to pick your spots.

Ortiz can box bro. He's smooth at times when he needs to be. I would say he just has to sharpen his jab as much as he can to make it a formattable weapon. IMHO it's the only thing Ortiz really needs to create, it will help his offense tremendously.

ortiz has to force wifebeater to brawl with him. he won't be able to outbox wifebeater. that will be next to impossible to do because wifebeater won't brawl with someone as dangerous as ortiz. so ortiz will have to eat big counterpunches to land his shots and he has to throw them in combination. wifebeater doesn't hit as hard as berto so ortiz should be able to walk through wifebeater's shots

effective pressure leads to a close fight with floyd. Castillo, first 4 rounds with judah, de la hoya and hatton while it lasted where close fight due to giving floyd pressure throughout the fight. Floyd is 34 Years old and hasn't been in a round for a year and it going to be about a year and a half when he does step in it. He doesn't have legs HE USED TO, where he moved constantly. He is a stationary target most of the time now. If Ortiz can pressure constantly and keep Floyd smothered with his bigger body, then he can win this fight. If he just sits there and tries to pick his spot he is going to get potshotted to death like Mosley.

The points about pressuring floyd are correct. Just remember Castillo was a far better and more complete fighter at that point then Vic is now.

No person alive can keep constant pressure and be sharp at a high level. It goes both ways that why in my analysis it has to be smart constant pressure. floyd can fight inside also but Ortiz has to set a palatable foundation whete here can apply pressure when he feels it's needed and that's moving in behind a decent jab.

Mayweather has not shown and significant cracks in his footwork in any of his last fight's he may slip in spots but overall he still has his wheels.

If Ortiz does what he did yo Burto against Floyd IMHO i think he will be getting potshotted for the rest of the fight.

If he applies Smart constant just outside distance pressure he conserves energy to stay sharp and fight dynamic (having the ability to adjust and capitalize) instead of fighting reactionary which will get you into trouble against a fighter who is always thinking. I think if Ortize can focus on this it will put pressure on Mayweather to stay more on his toes than necessary and can lead to opening that can be taken advantage of.
