Let me make this more clear:

Floyd is in his mid 30s, 10 years older than his next opponent which is the second best at welterweight, and Floyd is coming off a 16 month lay off.

And people see him as the favorite, and as having the advantage.
The only people that make him such are those who don't know shit about boxing.

Everyone else has this as a pickem fight for the reasons you mentioned. That and Ortiz is not an old shot bum like Floyd is used to fighting.

Floyd came off a 21 month lay off against Marquez, the former Lightweight. Floyd had the size advantage. Okay I can deal with that one, Marquez had the activity on his side, while Floyd had size on his size, although I don't think size matters to be honest.
It does when you know JMM is a career fw fighting a legit ww.

Mosley came off a 14 month lay off, was 5 years older than Floyd: Floyd had the advantage.
because anyone who knew boxing knew Mosley was old and shot and that he was always overrated to begin with.

Now Floyd is 34, 10 years older than Ortiz, Ortiz is bigger, more active, Floyd has not fought in 16 months, who has the advantage: Although it's actually Ortiz, some fans say Floyd has the advantage.
    see above.

I mean, for you to have the advantage under those circumstances, do you know how much of a special fighter do you have to be? You have to be the very best, to still be looked at as the favorite and as having the advantage with all of those important factors against you.

I know this thread will probably not be taken seriously, because I am a known Floyd fan or "*****", and I just look like a giant nutthugger right now,

But to those neutral guys who do not have an agenda against Floyd, give your take on this. Do you agree that Floyd is basically put on a whole different standard than other fighters?
Not really. I think most people know Floyd is a good fighter and a defensive wizard, but he's also known for picking very easy opponents that make him look better than he is.

Some people have actually drank the kool aid about him being unbeatable, but the fact is that when he faces a prime world class fighter, he can be beat.

See Castillo. And also, if Judah had Castillo's heart, he would've beat Floyd too.

His right hook is probably his best punch cos thats his strong hand. I think people are overplaying the southpaw thing in this case.

He does say he does everything else right handed but has the power in his left hand, and thats why he fights soutpaw.

Maidana couldn't miss with big right hands Berto had a lot of sucess with his straight right.

            What is Floyd's best punch.

            Ortiz is custom made.

So he is definitely right handed or are you just guessing because his right hook is his best punch?

Not saying you are I just thought he was left handed.

Mike Tyson's left hand was his best punch but apparently he was right handed although some people claim he was a converted southpaw.

No, I seen interviews where he is saying the left hand is his power punch. But he is a right hander in everything else

Seems to carry decent power in both.

But Ortiz seems to be a converted orthadox, not many of those about I bet.

Victor is right-handed and yet is a southpaw... he discusses this in this video from a recent workout and video shoot.

                  Here you go.

He just developed into a southpaw, because he found it better defensively

                    Ahhh, thanks for that.

No way, wasn't aware of that.

Just like he went through scary moments against "lesser" fighters like Corley, Judah, and even Mitchell tagged him a couple of times but all three of those fights were "wars" in Floyd terms.

And i think Floyd may go through a little storm, or more than little storm against Ortiz.
Martinez would have Floyd so off his game that he would want to quit. He would try to tag Martinez as he leans in but Martinez would have the reach and would duck back and counter Floyd instead of the other way around. Martinez's jab would give Floyd nightmares as well.......that fight would be everything but easy for Floyd.
