Let me make this more clear:

Floyd is in his mid 30s, 10 years older than his next opponent which is the second best at welterweight, and Floyd is coming off a 16 month lay off.

And people see him as the favorite, and as having the advantage.

Floyd came off a 21 month lay off against Marquez, the former Lightweight. Floyd had the size advantage. Okay I can deal with that one, Marquez had the activity on his side, while Floyd had size on his size, although I don't think size matters to be honest.

Mosley came off a 14 month lay off, was 5 years older than Floyd: Floyd had the advantage.

Now Floyd is 34, 10 years older than Ortiz, Ortiz is bigger, more active, Floyd has not fought in 16 months, who has the advantage: Although it's actually Ortiz, some fans say Floyd has the advantage.

I mean, for you to have the advantage under those circumstances, do you know how much of a special fighter do you have to be? You have to be the very best, to still be looked at as the favorite and as having the advantage with all of those important factors against you.

I know this thread will probably not be taken seriously, because I am a known Floyd fan or "*****", and I just look like a giant nutthugger right now,

But to those neutral guys who do not have an agenda against Floyd, give your take on this. Do you agree that Floyd is basically put on a whole different standard than other fighters?

    Marquez at WW?
Mosley nearly 39 years old + layoff? (Did you see Mora and Manny fight Mosley?)

Is this what you are basing things on?

Ortiz gets some advantages but the OVERALL advantage goes to Floyd because of history and experience. Ortiz has looked vulnerable, inconsistent and has lost. Even in his last 2 fights one can still see his flaws and how to go about taking advantage of them.

But are you going to tell us that Floyd doesn't have the OVERALL advantage? Really?

Another pampered win for Floyd. No need to discuss advantages and disadvantages in this fight. Ortiz 1 fight at WW and spent most of his career down south. Floyd a WW for the past 5-6 yrs choosing Ortiz, what a shame to real fans especially Floyd fans. Beating a non ranked former light WW does nothing to Floyds legacy NOTHING

Oh yeah I forget Floyd don't care about legacy, just cashing checks conning simple closed minded fans..

So its Floyd's fault for being good?

It is Floyd's fault for not taking the tough challenges.

They both have their OWN advantages.

It's not just this guy has the advantage... it depends on what specific advantage you're talking about.

Mayweather has skills, athletics, experience advantages... while Ortiz has activity, momentum, size, and youth advantages.

What? The TS's topic about advantages?

                    He brought up:
                    Marquez at WW?
Mosley nearly 39 years old + layoff? (Did you see Mora and Manny fight Mosley?)

Then a couple of advantages that Ortiz has then say, "oh, Ortiz should be said to have the advantages not Floyd"

                    What?

You don't need to be a boxing analyst to know that Floyd has the OVERALL advantage over Ortiz. If you don't see this then what can I say!

As for your comment, "Floyd is too good" .... well, that is where the TS was going with this too .... but like I said above, he brought up Marquez and old Mosley to prove his points .... TOTAL FAIL!
