I'm going to give Mayweather credit here. Ortiz is young, powerful, now has a proven heart, cuts off the ring, just topled a very strong, fast, unbeaten Berto. Mayweather did NOT pick an easy fight at all!! Fighting Ortiz is impressive because Ortiz brings it big time! This is a risky fighter cause Ortiz has nothing to lose and Mayweather is risking a lot.

The 3 posters that I have seen DE100 expose in the last two days ALL said that Pac/Ortiz would be a great fight..... but when Mayweather selected Ortiz, those same guys all called Mayweather a cherry-picker LMAO

I was a huge Mayweather fan since the amateur days and lost that when he said some things a fighter should not say to an opponent. That was Mayweather the man. But I always liked his style and Mayweather the fighter could have taken a soft touch but chose a guy who comes in with power in both hands and youth on his side and that is impressive by Mayweather!

Bong, we know Ortiz has power in both hands, is young and strong, has NOTHING to lose against Mayweather and will come out FIRING punches and will not stop. It is okay to be a Pac fan.....I like Pac a lot but lets be realistic, Mayweather could have chosen a number of easier fighters after a layoff an chose a solid welterweight champion.

How is Floyd pure crap? Mosley? #1 WW... Ortiz #2/#3 WW? Now JMM at WW, yeah thats crap BUT Pac's now being the copy cat. Hatton? AWESOME fight I waited for and called it to a "T". Hatton was just pure shyt anyhow but a GREAT match up and HUGE fight. Pac vs Hatton was complete and utter shyt and called that but said Pac would have him out a round or 2 later. De La Hoya? lol I had Hoya beating Mayweather and I called Hoya losing badly vs Pac. Check my stats, I callem pretty well.

Pac since 2008 is complete in house shyt fights. Cotto was about the only thing solid and I ONLY say this because I edged Cotto to win a decision even after being beaten to near death by Margarito and being forced to fight Pac at a CW.

Anyhow, it doesn't matter what people think. Champions should be fighting champions. The best vs the best and right now Ortiz (like Berto was) is one of the best at WW regardless of what you think, yet again Pac ducks these guys and fights someone else. This time, JMM at WW, something Mayweather was (rightfully) already bashed for doing.

Dude, you don't get it. I'm not even using this scenario as a praise for Pacquaio. But look at how Morales (shot to **** at that) was so much more competitive against Maidana than Ortiz was. There is just no way to justify Floyd taking this fight period when there are guys out there like Sergio Martinez and he could quit ducking Pacquiao. That's the cause of us watching both of them in shit fights.
